Our fall kickoff for our teen group will be on Tuesday, September 23 from 6 to 8 pm in the youth room. If you are in grades 7 through 12, we invite you to our teen events, held on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month. For more info, contact Jim Norstad at [email protected]. A Flu Shot Clinic will be held here at Grace Chapel on Saturday, September 27 from 10 am till noon. Kinney Drugs will be providing the shots for a fee of $25. They can check to see if your insurance will cover the fee. Getting a yearly flu vaccine is an important step you can take to protect yourself, your family and coworkers from the flu. Backpacks for Nepali Students Today we have an opportunity to minister to the Nepali refugee children in Syracuse. We have purchased 20 backpacks, which are labeled with the grade and gender of a student. We are asking folks to take a backpack and fill it up with the supplies listed inside each backpack. We encourage you to do this project individually, as a couple, a family, or even as an Engage group. Feel free to be creative and add your personal touches. The backpacks should be returned to the church by Sunday, September 28. Thank you for showing the love of Jesus to these children. In My Father’s Kitchen Event Come join IMFK for the “You’re Not Invisible” Fall Fundraiser on Saturday, September 27 from 1 to 4 pm at the Hillcrest Jephson Estate overlooking Cazenovia Lake. Your $25 ticket will help this ministry of redemption for the homeless flourish. Your presence at the event is also a huge encouragement to them as well. You can pick up your tickets at the welcome desk today, or at the church office during the week. Hors d’oeuvres and a tour of the Jephson mansion are included in the ticket price.
