Lord, turuan Nyopo akong sumunod sa prinsipyo
ng Bibliya, ang mabuhay nang
may respeto sa Diyos, sa sarili,
sa kapwa at sa kalikasan. IlayoNyo po ako sa mga maling de-

Govt, travel agents push new tourism sitesBy Riza T. Olchondra
THE DEPARTMENT of Tourism (DOT)and the Philippine Travel Agencies As-sociation (PTAA) are promotingemerging tourist destinations to meettarget growth rates and make incomeopportunities more widespread.
Travel Tour Expoparticipants are ex-pected to generate20-percent more salesfrom the three-dayevent this year fromthe P310 million gen-erated during the2012 expo, Clementesaid. More travel dealseekers are expectedto attend the event,
with 100,000 visitorsexpected this yearfrom 60,000 last year.
PTAA presidentJohn Paul Cabalzasaid the sales growth
would also come from
the higher number ofbooths to 554 from477 in 2012.
The tours bookedat the expo could serveas a dry run for newdestinations beforetour operators activelypromote their sitesabroad. Visitors, mean-
while, benefit fromgreat discounts andprizes available at theexpo, Clemente said.
Foreign destina-
tions will also be fea-tured such asJapanese prefecturespromoted in the Japan
pavilion or Malaysiansites in their countrypavilion. Filipinos go-ing abroad are also
welcome because theyalso market the Philip-pines in their own
way, so hopefully thatwould later translateto more foreignerscoming here, PTAAmedia committee headMarciano Ragaza said.
Some 5.5 millionforeign tourists and 35million domestictourists are expected totravel nationwide this
year. Boracay, Cebu,Bohol, Davao andPuerto Princesa areamong their top picksbut the DOT and thePTAA are also promot-ing places such asBaler and the CagayanEconomic Zone Au-thority (Ceza), PTAAhead of public relations
Aileen Clemente said.Baler hosts 15 resorts
while Ceza has 17 ho-
tel-resort locators.Promoting new
destinations wouldease the pressure onmainstream sites andalso distribute income
opportunities towardthe countryside, Assis-tant Tourism Secretaryand spokesperson Ben-ito Bengzon Jr. said.
Part of efforts topromote new destina-tions is to hold eventssuch as the upcoming20th Travel Tour Expo2013, which will takeplace from Feb. 15 to17 at the SMX Conven-tion Center. The event
will feature tourismambassadors (such asHello Kitty from theJapanese embassy) as
well as daily activities
and raffle prizes (suchas travel points from
Asia Miles) to encour-age more travel, saidClemente, who chairsthis years expo.

Oxygen-rich water bringsmultiple health benefitsOXRYD, the first oxygen-rich bottledwater in the Philippines manufacturedby CY Water Solutions, has undergonean oxygenation process called Elec-trolytic Hydrolysis.
The process splitswater to smaller com-ponents and increasesdissolved oxygen con-tent. As a result, water
becomes softer andwater molecule clustersbecomes smaller forfaster cell absorption.
Unlike other drink-ing water, OxRyd gives
better hydration andextra oxygen, whichthe body system needs.OxRyd enhances thebodys energy produc-tion in the cellular lev-el and speeds up thebreaking down of foodmolecules resulting ina higher energy andimproved stamina.
OxRyd also has aneutral PH level of 7
to 7.5 that matchesthe PH level of blood.Since majority of ordi-nary bottled water istransparent, the UVray from the sun whendirectly heated causesthe water to becomecontaminate and dan-gerous to health.OxRyd has uniqueblue UV protected bot-tles that block the heat
and preserve oxygencontent and PH level.OxRyd health bene-
fits to the body in-clude hydration (pre-
vents constipation andit helps regulate your
daily bowel move-ment), detoxification(flushes toxins and un-
wanted radicals out ofour cells and body andstrengthens the im-
mune system), regen-eration (rejuvenatesskin cells resulting to a
younger and healthierskin), absorption (en-hances absorption of
vitamins, minerals, and nutrients), and in-crease energy (regu-lates body metabolismfor better stamina andendurance).
Our goal is to pro-
mote healthy lifestyleby providing high-grade drinking water tothe public. We wantedto address the buyingpublic that it is indeedessential to choose the
water we drink every-day, said CY Water So-lutions General Manag-er Victor Uy Cu.
