• Pair up with one other person from your unit 3 group (2 only if someone is missing their informative article)

• Exchange the first drafts of your informative articles. Read through them carefully, answer the questions below, and share the answers with your peers.

1. What visual rhetorical strategies has the writer used to make the essay look like it is for the proposed publication. How else could the student revise their essay to use the visual rhetorical strategies of their publication type?

2. What strategy, if any, does the writer use to grab reader interest (or explain the importance of the research) in the introduction? Is this sufficient and appropriate for the publication type?

3. Does the essay seem based on a thesis statement or a thesis question? Identify this sentence and write it here.

4. How is the document designed to have the structure and formatting of its publication type? How else might the student revise their essay to align its document design strategies to fit its publication type?

3. How would you describe the 4 factors of style for the media project? Particularly, how would you describe it as formal/informal and expert/layperson?

4. How is the script designed to have the style of its media type? How else might the student revise their essay/script to align its style to fit the chosen media type?

5. How is the project designed to fit its particular audience (our ENC1102 class)? How could it be improved to target this particular audience?
