As of January 1, 2017, the cost of the monthly Blue Springs Chamber luncheons will be $23 for members and $28 for non-members. This $3.00 increase reflects an increase in the price of meals from the venue.

We will still be offering you ways to save money on these events as part of your annual marketing/sponsorship packages. If you plan on attending multiple luncheons next year, you can save by purchasing advance luncheons. Luncheons are held from February through December, and are an excellent opportunity to network.

The following members participated in our November New Member Showcase. For more information on each member, visit www.BlueSpringsChamber.com and click on the Find A Business tab.

THEN & NOW Jewelry Karl & Bridget Doescher 1111 W. Main Street Blue Springs Missouri 64015 Store (816) 228-1270 Cell (816) 616-6003 www.thenandnowjewelry.com HOLIDAY HOURS Tue.-Fri…….10 am to 6 pm Saturday…..10 am to 4 pm

After fifteen years of in-depth managerial and sales experience in the jewelry industry by working for some of the best national and local firms, Karl finally realized his dream of opening up his own doors to his own business in his own neighborhood in the fall of 2008. In looking back at this, the adventure was a little more risky than normal because it was started during the most serious economic recession in our lifetime.

However, with the encouragement and assistance from his wife, Bridget, this team has made a great success of their small business venture. THEN & NOW Jewelry has just purchased and remodeled their own space in downtown Blue Springs which will be able to fulfill all of their business needs for a couple of decades or whenever they are ready to retire..... which ever comes first!!

Since their operations began, Karl and Bridget have had sizable growth from year to year largely due to a few important areas. They have brought to their business a thorough knowledge of their products and markets, exercised complete honesty with their vendors and customers, extended courteous communication with everyone with whom they interact and applied effective financial acumen for all of their major decisions. Also, over a lifetime, they have subscribed to the idea that saving for that "rainy day" is critically important because once in awhile the clouds do open up and bring some of that rain. So they have always been financially prepared, as best as possible, for whatever might occur.

Both Karl and Bridget believe in balancing their work life and their personal life with an emphasis on providing true value in their family relationships. They are the proud parents of three teenage sons who do well in school and have a schedule of activities so evenings are usually very busy.

THEN & NOW Jewelry has been a member of the Blue Springs Chamber of Commerce for eight years and believe supporting the organization is vital for all small business owners. Karl and Bridget also think it is important to "Buy Blue Springs" whenever possible and they are glad that their new location emphasizes this idea.

The next time you are downtown, please stop by the store to learn more of their beautiful products, their modern renovations and their friendly owners.... you will not be disappointed!!
