Hi everyone,

I see that Wales could be the first part of the UK to ban the use of electronic cigarettes in enclosed public places under plans for a new public health law. I find it strange to ban something that is designed to assist people to give up smoking. Especially given that they pose no danger to people in close prox-imity to the user. The reason put for-ward is that they “normalise” smoking. I can see this point of view but still a large part of me says, if they help peo-ple to stop smoking or reduce the risks to their health then surely that must be a good thing.

Thanet Council are currently spearhead-ing an attempt to open Britain’s first Cannabis cafe’. If Cllr Ian Driver gets his way it will be open sooner rather than later. They are not the only Council looking into this idea. Now come on, this is insane. Which is safer, an E-cig or Cannabis?

I also find it strange to ban an electronic cigarette that discharges nothing but water vapour when nobody seems to have picked up on the fact that nicotine gum users actually exhale nicotine vapour. The gum contains nicotine oil and vaporises on the breath of the person chewing. If you stand in the vicinity of someone chewing nicotine gum you are in effect a passive smoker. I think we should put a ban on banning things, it’s getting stupid. Stay safe everyone
