CSA Import The CSA import is live as soon as it is installed. For this reason we will setup the import before we install it, so when it is installed it will return good data.

Setting up the Interface 1. Log into Enterprise, as an administrator. Go to Setup > Options > Integration Options

> CSA.

2. You are now on the Integration Options screen. On the left hand side select CSA. Next

select BASIC under CSA. In the Web Service URL type the following: http://clientcenter.tmwsystems.com/csaws/webservices.svc

3. Now click on the CSMS Score tab on the left hand side. On the right hand side click on

the Enabled box.

NOTE: At this time there is no need to create more than one instance of CSA, so the Add New Instance and Remove Instance buttons can be ignored.

4. When you check the enabled box the setup options will appear. You will need to fill in the DOT Number and the FMSCA Password, both obtained from the DOT. The frequency will default to every 30 days; this is because that is how often the DOT updates the information. The Last Run will automatically be filled in for every time the CSA Import runs. Press the Save Changes button after you have filled in the required information.

Running the installer Before running this installer you should upgrade to Microsoft .NET Framework 4. The upgrade is available at http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=17718

During the install you will get this message if you do not upgrade to Microsoft .NET Framework 4:

1. Double click the CSA executable. You will be presented with the CSA Welcome screen.

Click Next.

2. Now you are on the Customer Information screen. Fill in the User Name, Organization and whether this install is for Anyone who use computer or just the profile that you are logged in as. Click Next.

3. On the Destination screen you can leave the default installation path or select a new one by clicking the Change button. After the path is set click Next.

4. The Ready to Install the Program screen will appear. This screen summarizes what you have done so far. If you need to make any corrections hit the back button until you come to the screen you need to change. If everything is ok click Install.

5. The Installing CSA Interface will appear briefly.

6. Now the InstallShield Wizard Completed screen will appear. Click Finish.

7. Now you will be prompted to update the database. You will need to fill in the Server

Name (it should be filled in for you), the Login and the Password fields. Click Connect.

8. Now you will be prompted to select the database from the Database Name pull down menu. Click OK.

9. You will be presented with a message saying there is no history of a backup. Click OK.

10. Select the path to where you would like the file backed up to. Click OK.

11. Next the Information screen will appear. This screen will tell you the update will take a while to complete and ask if you want to continue. Click Yes.

Note: Occasionally the Information screen will pop up behind other screens. If you do not see it within a minute or two click the Database Administration icon in your system tray and the

Information screen should appear.

12. The TMW AMS Updater screen will appear. When the installation is done the Finished button will become enabled. You may click Show Log button if you want to view the install log.

13. If you have not updated to Microsoft .NET Framework 4 you will be prompted to do so now. Click Yes to update click No to abort install.

Note: If you select Yes and do the .NET install at this point you will be redirected to the Microsoft website to download Microsoft .NET Framework 4. After you have downloaded and installed .NET 4 you will need to run the TMW AMS CSA Installer again to complete the installation. If you select No the installation will be aborted at this point and the CSA Import will not be installed.

14. If you have updated to Microsoft .NET Framework 4 you will see the Welcome to the TMW AMS Interface CSA Service Setup Wizard. Click Next.

15. Now you are on the Database Settings screen. Fill in the name of the TMT Fleet Maintenance database Server, Database, User and Password. Click Next.

16. Now you will see the Select Installation Folder. You may take the default or select a new path. Also check whether this install is for Everyone or Just Me (person logged in). Click Next.

17. On the Confirm Installation screen click Next.

18. The installation will begin.

19. When the installation is complete click Close. The installation is now complete.

Troubleshooting

Verifying the Service is Running 1. Troubleshooting and verifying that the service is running correctly. To verify the service

is installed and running, on Windows Vista and 7 go to the start menu and search for Services. For XP go to Start > Control Panels > Administrative Tools > Services.

2. When you click on services it will open up the windows services list and you will want

to scroll down and find TMW AMS CSA Service, highlighted below. Make sure this says started. You can also right click and select Stop and then Start, or you can select Restart to ensure that it has started properly.

3. To make sure that the service is working go to the start menu and search on Event Viewer. For XP go to Start > Control Panels > Administrative Tools > Event Viewer.

4. Next you will want to expand Windows logs and then Application to view the logs

from the service, the Source for CSA will be TmwAmsCSAeSvc

5. 6. Troubleshooting: If it continuously has the message Loading CSA Integration parameters then most likely issue that there are no integration set up in the database. Another issue could be that the interface ini isn’t setup correctly.

Verifying that the INI is Setup There should be an interface ini named TMWAMS_CSAInterface.ini in the path where the service was installed (not the db portion). The default path for TMWAMS_CSAInterface.ini is:

c:\Program Files\TMW Systems, Inc\AMS\TMW AMS Interface CSA Service

Make sure these settings are correct and that you can connect to the database with the user info provided. The settings it has are as follows:

Verifying the Database is Correctly Updated 1. To make sure the database was updated correctly look in the database. There should be

a new tabled call AMSCSADATA and it should contain the following fields: AMSCSADATAID Identity column of table ASOFDATE Reference date for time weight – typically when data was downloaded from

FMCSA web site DOTNUMBER Carrier's DOT Number REPORTNUMBER Inspection report number INSPECTIONDATE Inspection date CSMSTIMEWEIGHT CSMS Time weight

BASICSCORE Score impact for each BASIC; Before applying a time weight, score takes into account a maximum of 30 within that BASIC for an inspection, and adds 2 for each distinct violation for certain BASICs, and then redistributes severity to violations within the category. Non-integer severities typically indicate that the non-weighted score within a category exceeded 30.

2. This can be verified by running the following script:

3. There should also be a new stored procedure called USP_AMSCSADATA_CREATE.sql. This can be verified by running:

4. The next thing to verify is that the Dawgs got added. These can be verified by running the following:
