Emergency surgery for a case of Ruptured Ectopic Pregnancy

The dedicating medical team at Tam Tri Sai Gon General Hospital, a member of TMMC Healthcare, successfully performed an emergency surgery for a complicated case of ruptured ectopic pregnancy.

14:30 pm, 15 October 2014, Ms. B.T.H (born in 1989, HCMC) was admitted to Tam Tri Sai Gon

General Hospital in such fatal condition (extreme pain and exhaustion) that she was rushed to the

emergency department to be operated. Thanks to the dedicated medical team at Tam Tri Sai Gon General Hospital, the patient then recovered in excellent health condition.

The surgeons at the Obsetrics Dept., Tam Tri Sai Gon General Hospital, are performing an emergency surgery to save the patient diagnosed with ectopic pregnancy.

Dr. Nguyen Tai Chanh, General Manager of Tam Tri Sai Gon General Hospital, stated: “Ectopic

pregnancy is a critical condition among pregnant women. It is advisable that women should practice protected sex and avoid abortion to prevent ectopic pregnancy and infertility”

Women who display the symptoms of ectopic pregnancy shall be hospitalized and treated as soon

as possible as this is a fatal condition. If the condition deteriorates, the obstetrician may fail to make

a prompt and correct diagnosis, thus it is best to turn to endoscopy for a more accurate diagnosis to prevent unfortunate complications.
