Got questions? Here’s how you can always fi nd answers: Finding & Recording ShowsSearch: Find what you love to watch.From the TiVo Central screen, select Find TV, movies & videos, then select Search. Enter a few letters of the show title or actor’s name, and the TiVo service searches across TV, RCN On Demand and the Internet to fi nd matches.

WishList® searches: Find shows that match your areas of interest.Search by actor, director, keyword or category, and every time a show’s title or description matches your criteria, it’s recorded for you. From the TiVo Central screen, select Find TV, movies & videos, then select WishList saved searches.

Season Pass® recordings: Record every episode of a show.Set up a SeasonPass® recording and your TiVo box will record your shows whenever they air, even when they change time slots. To set up a Season Pass®, just select a show from the guide or your search results and choose ‘Get a Season Pass’.

Guide: Find out what’s on TV now... or later!Press the GUIDE button on your TiVo from RCN remote to fi nd what’s on right now, and what’s coming up. Use the arrow keys to move around the guide. Press FORWARD and BACK to move right or left one page at a time. Press ADVANCE to move 24 hours ahead and REPLAY to move 24 hours back.

RCN On Demand: An amazing array of entertainment options.Access a vast library of RCN On Demand titles from the RCN On Demand catalog. Press the ON DEMAND button on your remote.

Pay-Per-View: Easily order the events you don’t want to miss.To order PPV events, select the channel and then follow the on-screen instructions.

Watching showsLive TV: Return to live TV at any time.Press the LIVE TV button on your RCN TiVo remote to watch live TV. Press LIVE TV again to switch tuners.

My Shows: All your recorded or downloaded programs. My Shows is the fi rst menu item on the TiVo Central screen. Here you’ll fi nd all of your recorded and downloaded shows and all of your TiVo Suggestions.

Hint: You can get to the My Shows list by pressing

on your remote control twice.

Parental Controls: Controlling access is easy.Restrict access to shows based on their ratings or simply restrict certain channels.  In HD menus from the TiVo Central screen, select Settings & Messages > Parental Controls.  In SD menus from the TiVo Central screen, select Settings & Messages > Settings > Parental Controls.

Getting recommendationsDiscovery Bar: Get personalized recommendations.The Discovery Bar is the bar of thumbnail images across the top of TiVo Central and most other HD menus screens. The Discovery Bar helps you fi nd new shows that are similar to shows you’ve recorded. And it doesn’t contain only shows. You’ll also fi nd thumbnails for actors, collections of related shows, and more. Press the

arrow to move up to the Discovery Bar, then the and arrows to move around. Press on an image that interests you to open an information screen about that item.

TiVo® Suggestions: Record shows that match your preferences.Based on the ratings you give to shows and movies, TiVo Suggestions automatically selects and records new content on your TiVo. It’s a great way to make new discoveries. Don’t worry, TiVo Suggestions won’t override your own recordings or steal valuable disk space. If you choose to auto-record TiVo Suggestions, you’ll fi nd a list of recorded TiVo Suggestions in your My Shows list. TiVo Suggestions are marked with a Suggestions icon®.

Note: to turn o� automatic recording of TiVo Suggestions, go to TiVo Central screen, select Settings & Messages > Settings > Recording > TiVo Suggestions > Select “No don’t record TiVo Suggestions”. When Automatic recording is on (the default), TiVo Suggestion may be recorded if there’s available space. Remember, recordings you schedule will never be deleted to make room for Suggestions. Also, if space is needed for your recordings, Suggestions are the fi rst shows to be deleted.

On Demand provides direct access to the RCN On Demand library.

TiVo Central - access your recorded programs, interactive guides, settings and more all from one easy-to-navigate menu.

Live TV/Swap takes you to live TV. If you’re watching live TV, use it to swap tuners.

Use the Thumbs Up and Thumbs Down buttons to rate shows for TiVo Suggestions.

Use OK to choose menu options or shows to record.

Use the Zoom to change the way programs are displayed on your TV.

Guide takes you to the program guide, where you can fi nd shows to watch or record. Press it again to clear the guide.

A, B, C, D buttons are for future use.

If programmed, TV PWR turns your TV or A/V receiver on/o� .

Info shows the channel banner while watching live TV; press it again to make it disappear.

Back (rewind) rewinds a program. Press it up to three times for three speeds.

Press Record to start recording the show you’re watching, or to set up a recording for a show selected in the program guide.

Slow plays a show in slow motion.

Forward (fast-forward) fast-forwards through a program. Press it up to three times for three speeds.

Clear removes the display of the channel banner or program guide and deletes titles from My Shows or the To Do list.

Use the Arrow buttons to navigate TiVo menus and the program guide.

Use the Channel Up/Down buttons to change the channel and to page up/down while in the program guide or TiVo menus.

Pause freezes a show. Press it again to resume playing.

Play starts playing a show from the My Shows list.

Enter returns you to the last channel tuned in to live TV.

Instant Replay repeats the last 8 seconds of the show. Press and hold to jump to the beginning of a show.

Advance moves forward in 30-second increments; press and hold to jump to the end of the show. Also used to skip to the next tick mark while fast forwarding.
