  • According to most studies, people's number one fear is public speaking. Number two is death. Death is number two. Does that sound right? This means to the average person, if you go to a funeral, you're better off in the casket than doing the eulogy.

  • To succeed in business, you need to become a decent public speaker.

  • Showing that you can articulate your thoughts whether at business luncheons, staff meetings or with clients, you must be able to express yourself clearly, confidently, coherently, and concisely

  • Speaking makes you visible. Speaking makes you memorable. Speaking can even make you look smarter

    than you really are.

  • According to a study cited last year in Time, those who speak up in groups are perceived as more intelligent than those who do not, even when they are less knowledgeable.
