6 tips for writing the perfect Linkedin profile summary
A great Linkedin summary is a simple way to generate interest from potential customers every time they look at your profile.
3. Get it right and every profile view will help spread the word about your expertise.
Get it wrong and people won’t understand what you do or how you could potentially help them.
A great way to write a perfect profile summary is to remember the 6 ‘Ps’: Position, Problem, Projection, Proposal, Proof and Project. And here they are in more detail for you . . .
7. Problem: What problem do you solve? What are the causes and solutions to this problem?
8. Projection: What happens if people don’t solve this problem? What will the effects be and how will they impact their life and/or business?
9. Proposal: What product or service do you offer that solves the problem? Proof: What evidence can you give that you actually get results? This could be facts and figures or recommendations from clients – Linkedin is great for this.
11. Project: What projects or tasks are you currently working on that are of interest to your potential customers?

Be specific about who you help and the value you offer your customers.
Position: What you do and what types of people you help in business. The more specific you are, the better.
If you cover these 6 Ps in your Linkedin profile summary, then you’ll have the foundations of a compelling statement that won’t be forgotten by customers.
