The Cleveland Cavaliers will square off against the Charlotte Bobcats for the third and final time this season. Tonight is the only time these two teams will play at Quicken Loans Arena. In their previous meeting last Wednesday in Charlotte, Ramon Sessions had 24 points and J.J. Hickson added 20 points. Boris Diaw led the Bobcats with 26 points, including the go-ahead free throw down the stretch to give Charlotte a 98-97 win at Time Warner Cable Arena. The Cavs lead the all-time series 16-8 and have a 10-1 record against the Bobcats at The Q.

On the season, Cleveland’s bench ranks seventh in the NBA in bench scoring, averaging 35.3 points per game. Against the Wizards last Friday, Luke Harangody had a solid stat line as a reserve with 12 points, eight rebounds, two assists, a career-high two steals and a career-high three blocks in 31 minutes. He was the first Cavs bench player to post at least those numbers since Anderson Varejao did it on April 19, 2006 against Atlanta (14 points, 18 rebounds, two assists, two steals and two blocks). After tonight, the Cavs will go on the road to face the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday night.

The Bobcats are limiting their opponents to 39.9 rebounds per game (6th lowest in NBA), including 9.9 rebounds on the offensive end (2nd lowest). They also block 5.3 shots per game, which is the ninth-best in the league. Stephen Jackson is the team’s leading scorer at 18.5 points per game. Also, their starting point guard, D.J. Augustin, is one of the most accurate free throw shooters in the NBA at .907 (4th in the NBA).
