Living the HypeLast dual meet for swim sea-son, the Deerfield Meet filled the pool with cheers and ex-citement. Despite the lost to the Big Green, the Pelicans finished strong with a 10-2 record. The collection of photos shows the thrills of swimming and the team spir-it of the team.

Up in the Air

Wait, Divers are part of the swim team?Divers don’t practice the same time swimmers do, Divers don’t swim fast as swimmers do, but they still are an inte-gral part of the family. They’re all about technique! Coach Seebeck anxiously watched the performances of Madison Perry, school diving record holder, in the photo above.

Growing WingsThese guys’ dreamed of fly-ing in the air. Three new div-ers joined the boys diving team this year. They started with the basics—flapping wings and hopping off the diving board. Conner Far-rel (right) finished fifth in

The two inspiring parts of the swim team: competition and team work. It’s amazing how an individual spart could be translated into cheers and support. I hope this photo album shows the thrills of competing and the sense of team work (in relays or training) amongst swim team members.
