Principal’s Notes
“How was your day today?”
Much like our lives outside of school, the pace of activity has sure
picked up around here inside of our school. We have enjoyed an amaz-
ing week at Tball. Please keep checking in with your students about
school as the pace of life begins to speed up. Keep encouraging your
student to finish the year strong as opposed to fading away into sum-
mer!

Lunch Time Information from
Our Cafeteria
Lunch Time Visitors Each student is allowed to have one guest per month. Restaurant/fast
food & sodas are not allowed. Parents may purchase lunch in the cafe-
teria, cost is $3.00. This cannot come off the student’s lunch card.
Lunch Time Money Please go online www.mymealtime.com to deposit lunch money/send a
check in a labeled envelope with student first & last name. Mealtime
online passcode is the student ID. Parents can find this number on the
Parent RDS website, next to the student’s name on the schedule. Par-
ents will use this number to set up the account. All students will receive
a hot lunch regardless if the account is negative. No charging of any
extras will be allowed. Please Note: All lunch money needs to be
brought down in the morning before school. It will not be accepted at
lunch due to the fact that it slows down the flow of the lunch lines due
to the fact that it has to be recorded on paper as well. The students only
have 30 minutes to get through the lines & eat their lunch. Time is of
the essence.
Did you bring your lunch, but need a drink? Milk may be purchased, if you brought in a lunch from home, but you
may not charge it.
Heating up Lunches Our cafeteria does not warm up food, cook food or wash dishes brought
from home. If we tamper with the food it becomes the responsibility of
the cafeteria. Please, if you are sending in hot food make sure it is in a
thermos.
Would you like to Substitute in the Cafeteria? If you would like to be a sub in food services please call Pam Maloney
at 662-6480. This is a great way to earn a little extra cash and be home
with your children in the morning & afternoon.
School Breakfast FAST FACT

breakfast is healthy, & convenient. Students who participate in school

as well as decreased tardiness. Students who eat school breakfast at-
tend, on average, 1.5 more days of school per year and score 17.5%

An Art Note from Mrs. Hufford
I am so proud of our young artists! The show at our administra-
tion building is awesome! PLEASE NOTE: The administration
building will not be open on the evening of the 25th of April,
since the board meeting has been moved to the high school cafe-
teria for that night. That makes mornings before school the very
best time to look at your child’s art if he or she has a piece in the
show, since the administration building opens at 7 a.m.

Sick Day Guidelines:
Making the Right Call
When Your Child Is Sick:
Should I keep my child home or send him or her to school? School policy (and/or state law) requires a child to stay home if he or she:
Has a fever of 100.0° or higher
Has been vomiting or has diarrhea
Has symptoms that keep your child from participating in school, such as:
Very tired or lack of appetite
Cough that he or she cannot control, sneezing often
Headache, body aches, or earache
Sore Throat – a little sore throat is ok for school, but a bad sore throat
could be strep throat, even if there is no fever. Other signs of strep
throat, in children are a headache and upset stomach, or rash. Call your
doctor if your child has these signs. A special test is needed to know if
it is strep throat.
Keep your child home if he or she is coughing or sneezing often because this
spread the sickness to others.
24 Hour Rule
FEVER: Keep your child home until his or her FEVER has been gone WITHOUT
medicine for 24 hours. Colds can be contagious for at least 48 hours. Re-
turning to school too soon may slow recovery and make others sick.
VOMITING OR DIARRHEA: Keep your child home for 24 hours after the LAST
time he or she vomited or had diarrhea.
ANTIBIOTICS: Keep your child home until 24 hours after the FIRST dose of an-
tibiotics for anything like ear infection or strep throat.
We often have many children and adults with colds coming to school, and each one is
passing their sickness to others. Please help others from becoming sick by keeping
your child home during their illness.
