We’ve all likely heard the term ‘breakthrough’

before. However, this word can be used in varying

contexts. The word breakthrough has a specific meaning

when it comes to military warfare strategy. Commanders

will plan for a concentrated group of soldiers to target a

specific point of potential weakness on an enemies front

lines. Battles can take moments, hours, or even days, but

a breakthrough happens suddenly and in an instant.

Once the enemies line of defense is penetrated, the

attacking army will do everything in their power to

exploit and leverage the breakthrough. Maybe there are

many areas that you have been lifting up in prayer for a

long time. God’s Word actually defines Him as the ‘God

of the Breakthrough.’ Learning from king David’s

example, we can align with His power by walking in this

Biblical model for breakthrough in your everyday life!

3 Actions that Align us with God of the Breakthrough

Asking God | Allowing God | Attacking Adversity

So David went to Baal-perazim and defeated the Philistines there. “The LORD did it!” David exclaimed. “He burst through my enemies like a raging flood!” So he named that place Baal-perazim (which means “the Lord who bursts through”). - 2 Samuel 5:20 (Read more 2 Samuel 5: 17 - 25)
