Budget: Tillamook School District has a $25 million general fund budget, and maintains a 16% reserve to protect against hard times. Unions: Tillamook School District enjoys an excellent relationship with union leadership and employees. Staff, administration and the board feel like they have very open and cooperative lines of com-munication. Contracts: For the last 16 years, Tillamook School District has con-sistently settled four year contracts with Certified and Classified un-ions. Contracts for each group are staggered two years apart, and are negotiated in non legislative years. No outside negotiators have been used for many years. Board: Tillamook School District has a five member school board, with a nice mix of veteran and new board members. The board un-derstands their role and is active and involved in the community. Current Superintendent: Randy Schild was born and raised in Tillamook. He taught at Tillamook High School for 13 years before becoming superintendent, 17 years ago. He has held numerous state offices and was named Oregon Superintendent of the Year in 2015. Randy will serve as a trainer/mentor for the Assistant/Future Superintendent during the 2018-19 school year. District Structure: Tillamook School District has 2200 PreK—12th grade students, divided into the following buildings:

Liberty Elementary School, Grades Pre K—1 South Prairie Elementary School, Grades 2-3 East Elementary School, Grades 4-6 Tillamook Junior High School, Grades 7-8 Tillamook High School, Grades 9-12 Wilson River School, Grades 9-12 (Alternative Program) Trask River High School (OYA Facility), Grades 9-12

Community Service:

Tillamook School District believes that every student should be taught to give back to others. One example of this is the annual Tillamook High School Charity Drive, where high school students raise over $200,000 in just 10 days to give to Doernbecher Children’s Hospital and other charities.
