Sprit moves you, per-
haps God wants to see
how much the Church
that Jesus built by
shedding His blood on
the Cross of Calvary,
means to you. So the
question again is put
to you, “what does
Jesus mean to us?”
Will we be counted
among the faithful
when we are called
into account on that
Day? May God for-
give us when we are
not as faithful and
may He bless us when
we answer the call to
be faithful.
“What does Jesus
mean to us?” Normally
I do not start any of
my writings with a
question. But the ques-
tion is one of signifi-
cance. Beloved if Je-
sus is our “all in all”
then wouldn’t it stand
to reason that we
should give back to
Him anything that He
would ask? Some
would say that Jesus is
everything but when it
comes to giving some-
thing up in order to
have a better walk
with Him, especially if
it might make us un-
comfortable, we begin
to back peddle and
think that surely Jesus
would not ask that of
me! Brothers and Sis-
ters have you consid-
ered; Maybe you say,
“I don’t have to come
to Church to worship
Jesus!” But Jesus said
“that they will know
you are mine if you
show love one to an-
other”. (John 13:35) It
is hard to love some-
one whom you have
not seen or been
around them. The next
time Jesus asks you to
give and the Holy

do not consistently witness for
Christ.

volved in the ministry of evan-
gelism.

gelism Course.

Reaching the Lost by Pastor Williams
This quarter I beseech all
of us to pray for the out-reach of our own lives into the lives of others. Are you
making a difference in the kingdom of God? I am not
asking if you have come to church or if you have given your tithe but rather what
have you done for the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ
this past year? Our Bible gives us a calling, a com-mission, and a command to
go forth and make disciples for God. Will you hear that
call or be content to say that it is for someone else? "The one concern of the dev-
il is to keep Christians from
praying. He fears nothing
from prayerless studies,
prayerless work, and prayer-
less religion. He laughs at
our toil, mocks at our wis-
dom, but trembles when we
pray." Samuel Chadwick
Will you follow the com-
mission of the Lord or be resigned to say that it is not for me? "We must feel toward people
as a father toward his chil-
dren; yea, the most tender
love of a mother must not
surpass ours. We must even
travail in birth, till Christ be
formed in them. They should
see that we care for no out-
ward thing, neither liberty,
nor honor, nor life, in com-
parison to their salvation...
When the people see that
you truly love them, they
will hear anything from
you...Oh therefore, see that
you feel a tender love for
people in your hearts, and let
them perceive it in your
speech and conduct. Let
them see that you spend and
are spent for their sakes."
Richard Baxter
Will you obey the com-mand of the Lord Jesus
who died that you might have life eternal or be con-tent to settle for apathy in
your walk with Him? There is a place where there is a dreadful prayer-meeting every day, and every hour in the day; a prayer-
meeting where all the at-tendants pray,—not mere-ly one, but all; and they pray, too, with sighs, and groans, and tears; and yet they are never heard. That prayer-meeting is in hell. There is a begging meeting there, indeed. Oh, that there were on earth half the prayer there will be there! Oh, that the tears shed in eternity had but been shed in time! Oh, that the agony that the lost ones now feel had but been felt before-hand! Oh, that they had repented ere their life was ended! Oh, that their hearts had been made tender before the terrible fire of judg-ment had melted them! - Charles Spurgeon Please consider what the Lord would have you do
for Him this quarter.
