DISCUSSIONThe p a t i e n t w i t h a c l o s e d t i b i a l f r a c t u r e i s a tp a r t i c u l a r r i s k o f c o m p a r t m e n t s y n d r o m e . I t i s ap o l i c y , t h e r e f o r e , on t h i s u n i t t h a t a l l s u c h p a t i e n t sb e a d m i t t e d f o r g e n e r a l a n d d i s t a l n e u r o v a s c u l a ro b s e r v a t i o n s , conducted b y s t a f f t r a i n e d t or e c o g n i z e s i g n s o f e a r l y d e t e r i o r a t i o n .
