Use gadgets and electronic devices to make life easier today, Aquarius. Why take the timeto chop food by hand when you can use the food processor? Realize that there is mostlikely an easier way to tackle any task. If something seems too hard, ask for advice how todo the job more quickly and efficiently. Information exchange will play a big role in your day.

Be careful of the information that comes your way today, Pisces. People may make un-warranted claims and false accusations. The day has a dreamy, innovative quality to itthat asks you to venture out on a limb. If all your chores are taken care of, feel free togo exploring - mentally or physically. Just make sure that you take things with a grain ofsalt when conversing with others.

Maintain an air of detachment, Aries. Feel free to delve into your fantasy world and letyour emotions carry you to another realm. Today is one of those days when you mightcome up with a new invention that could become the next must-have item for everykitchen in the country. Let your imagination take you away. Share your lighthearted moodwith others.

You may find that things are much lighter than they were the past couple days, Taurus. Thisis a good time to let your physical body take a rest and let your mind and fantasy worldtake over. Take a hot bath and soak for a while. Relax your brain and detach from your du-ties and obligations. Tread lightly and don't worry so much about what you need to do to-morrow. Concentrate on today.

A large weight should lift from your shoulders today, Gemini. The air has started to clearand the winds of communication have started blowing again. Listen closely to the buzz inthe air. You can learn a lot by tuning into other people's fantasies. Make sure you keep anopen mind and open heart. Discuss your latest achievements. You will have something im-portant to learn.

People may be abrasive today, Cancer, but you will find after careful assessment thatthey don't mean any harm. More than likely they aren't fully informed. They're acting onmisinformation. There's likely to be a cloudy haze in the air. Everyone will have an opin-ion on the best way to go about tackling an issue. Rely on your own cunning to cut tothe core of the problem.

Don't criticize the situation until you've come up with a better solution, Leo. Be creative. Youcan accomplish much if you approach the situation confidently. Pessimism won't help finda solution. Relax and let your intuition guide you. Feel free to speak with confidence andstrength. Perhaps the most fanciful-sounding answers will be the most ingenious solutions.

Your thoughts may have a dreamy quality today, Virgo. You will find that things are less sta-ble than they have been for the past few days. Don't get discouraged by pessimistic people.Offer your own creative solutions. You have a great deal of wisdom to share with otherswhether you realize it or not. Don't sell yourself short. Have confidence in your thoughtsand ideas.

Your emotions are soaring, Libra, and you should feel free to indulge in your greatest fan-tasies. Take a break from reality for a while. Let your inner child play. You should enjoy agreater self-confidence that you can use effectively to influence other people. Beware ofanyone who asks you to make a solid commitment today. They may not exactly have yourwell-being in mind.

Reward yourself with two desserts today, Scorpio. Take a bubble bath. Share your fantasieswith others and express yourself fully. Don't feel like you have to say yes to every favor thatis asked of you. Save some of that nurturing energy for yourself. Feel free to help others inneed, but don't do it at the expense of your emotional and physical bank account.

The weightiness of the past few days seems to be lifting. You will find a slight breeze buildingthat will help fuel your fire, Sagittarius. By building a solid foundation, you've created a re-liable launching pad from which to take off. Communicate what you've learned with others.Allow your opinion to be heard. A great deal of useful information will be exchanged.

Now that you have a solid grip on your situation, unexpected things may come along thatchange the rules again, Capricorn. It may feel like the chair you just got comfortable in hassuddenly been pulled out from under you. Don't get angry. Just realize that this is probablya sign that you need to move on. Keep things new and exciting. Share your thoughts andideas with others.

(NC) How long does your cellphone battery last? For most Cana-dians, it’s less than a day as 80 per cent charge their device on adaily basis, according to a recent Google survey. More than aquarter of device owners hit the charger multiple times a day.

“People want and need the battery power that keeps them con-nected” says Paul Dayco, chief technology officer at Huawei, which commissioned the survey. “More than 70 per cent of thepeople polled said having a smartphone battery last longer thana day is important or very important”

Here are some of Dayco’s tips to extend the life of your battery:

Black out. By far, the single biggest user of your battery’s chargeis the screen. If you have an extremely bright screen, your batteryis working hard to maintain that brightness. If you want to savesome battery, go to your settings and darken your interfacecolours. You can also change your background and screensaverphoto to darker images.

Employ smart resolution. Dial back your screen resolution to con-serve battery life. Or, try the Huawei Mate 20 Pro with smart res-olution that automatically lowers your screen resolution to savepower. The phone also features a massive 4200 mAh battery thatcan last up to two days on a single charge.

Switch up your mode. Most of us could benefit from engagingpower-saving mode, which automatically limits background appactivity and system sounds and reduces visual effects. To findyour Power Saving Mode, go to Settings, then Battery and clickon Power Saving mode.

Close your apps. Even if you have the world’s largest battery, re-member to close your unused apps every so often, as they maybe sapping battery life in the background without you realizingit.

Turn off updates. Go into your individual app settings and turnoff the automatic updates. Apps like Facebook and Twitter willupdate without you knowing it and will not only use up your bat-tery but will also use up your data plan if you’re not on Wi-Fi.

Jokes of the WeekAs little Johnny's mother was tucking him in after reading abedtime story, she made the remark that God made eyes tosee, ears to hear, noses to smell, and feet to run.

"I think God got mixed up," said little Johnny. "Why do you think that?" inquired his mother. "Because it's the other way around, my nose runs and myfeet smell."-------------------------------------------------------------------------I tried to change my password to "14days"... It was rejected as "too weak"! -------------------------------------------------------------------------A friend of mine was telling me that his girlfriend asked himif he would like to spend the weekend watching footballgames, eating chicken wings, and drinking beer. This excited my friend because he thought he had found theperfect mate, so he responded with a "YES!" with great en-thusiasm.

The girlfriend responded, "Perfect, because I am breaking upwith you."

RYAN & THE MOVIES- The Christmas Chronicles -

The Christmas Chronicles does its job at

bringing us a unique portrayal of Santa.

Driving a lot of the film is Kurt Russell,

who ends up as one of the best screen

Santas. I like how he is portrayed as

being on the job a very long time, but

still with that cheeriness and love for the

holiday. Santa being portrayed as a one-

man NSA with knowledge of everyone's

history and secrets could have come across as creepy, but they

make it work here and it leads to some humourous moments.

The reactions everyone has to Santa are great, too. It also pres-

ents a different spin on the elves, like a cross between Mogwai

and Minions. There are certainly some sappy and sentimental

moments, but they do feel earned. This won't join the ranks of

Christmas classics and Netflix was probably the right place for

this, but it did enough right and it's cool how completely un-

cynical it is. The movie's feels like the type that would play on

"The Wonderful World of Disney" way back when and it will

probably be a Christmas movie this generation of children will

remember fondly and come back to on occasion.
