ANZAC Service

What a wonderful morning we had for our ANZAC Service on Friday.

I would like to thank our very special speaker Darryl Kerslake.

Darryl, Roman and Damien also attended after assembly and talked

the students through the large amount of artefacts they, and others

brought to school. They commented on the service describing it as

very student friendly. They were amazed at the way our students sat

still and absorbed the information. We had eleven senior students

involved in the service, from laying the wreath to reciting the Ode of

Remembrance. Our choir sang three beautiful songs. Thank you to

the many parents and relatives who also attended.

Production Update

Things are on the go with Time Warped. A reminder that its on

September 12th and 13th. We have just about chosen all the songs and

dances, we will be running senior role audition over the next couple

of weeks. We have a team of very hard working parents and teachers

on board. Fleur Green is our main parent contact for anything

parenty!

Education Week

Open for Business – all week! Instead of the ‘traditional’ open morning

or afternoon we have decided to throw open the doors all week.

Come and watch your children in class, in PE, Science, Art, etc!

Remember though, it’s a ‘normal’ week and the children will be doing

what they normally do.

Open Night - You are invited to our Open night on Wednesday 24th

May between 6:30 and 8:00pm

Visit all classrooms and look at the work the children have been

doing this semester. When you visit each classroom answer a simple

Curriculum question about the work on display. Place your entry in

the box in the foyer to have a chance to win our Curriculum Hamper.

Some children will be performing throughout the night and the choir

will perform at 7:45 in the multi-purpose room to conclude the

evening.

Mother’s Day Friday

To celebrate Mother’s Day, we will be hosting a ‘Mum’s Marvellous

Morning Tea’ on the morning of Friday May 12th. Children are invited

to walk you into their classroom 8:45 – 9am so they can show you

their work on display around the room. (During Education Week

May 22 – 26th, there is time for parents to come into classrooms to

see their child/children’s work and watch the learning process.)

At 9.00am, you are invited to follow us into assembly where you will

be treated to tea/coffee and a cupcake, and a performance from the

school choir.

Have a great week everybody,

Matthew

You may have seen the name "FlexiBuzz" and

noticed a change in logo when you visit your

Tiqbiz app or desktop site. This is the result of

the recent purchase of Tiqbiz by InLoop Pty Ltd,

an Australian tech company with leading brands

including Flexischools.

We will be continuing to use the app to

communicate with you and FlexiBuzz will retain

all of the features that were available with

Tiqbiz.

To ensure you have the most up-to-date version

of the app we would recommend running the

app update as soon as possible.

Please check that your child’s uniform is

appropriately named. We have had several reports of

lost jumpers. Can you please check that your child

has not picked up another students jumper by

mistake, and return as soon as possible.

Thank you.
