Under its influence, fairly widespread to widespread rainfall with isolated heavy rain/snow and thunderstorm/hailstorm very likely over Jammu & Kashmir on 21st & 22nd November and over Himachal Pradesh on 22nd November. ♦ Another Western Disturbance is seen as as a trough in mid-tropospheric westerlies with its axis at 5.8 km above mean sea level roughly along Long. 52.0°E to the north of 28.0°N. This is likely to affect Western Himalayan region and adjoining plains from the night of 25th November. ♦ Scattered to fairly widespread rainfall with isolated heavy falls very likely over Kerala and Lakshadweep on 21st and over Tamilnadu, Puducherry & Karaikal on 22nd November. Thunderstorm with lightning at isolated places also likely over Tamilnadu, Puducherry & Karaikal, Kerala & Mahe and Lakshadweep during next 48 hours. ♦ Moderate to dense fog at isolated pockets over northeast India during next 2 days and shallow to moderate fog for subsequent 48 hours. Shallow to moderate fog at isolated pockets likely Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh during next 24 hours and over Bihar, Odisha, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim during next 48 hours. Significant Weather Features

Under its influence, fairly widespread to widespread rainfall with isolated heavy rain/snow and thunderstorm/hailstorm very likely over Jammu & Kashmir on 21st & 22nd November and over Himachal Pradesh on 22nd November.

♦ Another Western Disturbance is seen as as a trough in mid-tropospheric westerlies with its axis at 5.8 km above mean sea level roughly along Long. 52.0°E to the north of 28.0°N. This is likely to affect Western Himalayan region and adjoining plains from the night of 25th November.

♦ Scattered to fairly widespread rainfall with isolated heavy falls very likely over Kerala and Lakshadweep on 21st and over Tamilnadu, Puducherry & Karaikal on 22nd November. Meteorological Analysis (Based on 1430 hours IST)

♦ The Western Disturbance as a cyclonic circulation over East Iran & adjoining Afghanistan at 3.1 km above mean sea level with a trough aloft with its axis at 5.8 km above mean sea level roughly along Long. 62.0°E to the north of 25.0°N persists.

♦ The cyclonic circulation over Punjab & neighbourhood between 1.5 km & 2.1 km above mean sea level persists.

♦ The Western Disturbance as a trough in mid-tropospheric westerlies with its axis at 5.8 km above mean sea level roughly along Long. 52.0°E to the north of 28.0°N persists.

♦ The trough from Maldives area to south Karnataka coast extending upto 0.9 km above mean sea level persists.

♦ The cyclonic circulation over East Bangladesh & neighbourhood extending upto 3.6 km above mean sea level.

Weather Forecast for next 5 days * upto 0830 hours IST of 26th November, 2019

♦ Meteorological sub-division wise detailed 5 days precipitation forecast is given in Table-1.

♦ Rise in minimum temperature by 2-3°C very likely over parts of northwest India during next 24 hours and no significant change for subsequent 48 hours. No significant change in minimum temperatures over rest of the country during next 3-4 days.
