TheThruLog delivers the same, high-quality data you would expect to get from conventional tools, but with a much smaller 2-1/4 in. diameter in hostile envirement. Every ThruLog tool is fully characterized, you don't have to compromise between data fidelity and tool size. These tools provide the accuracy as the traditional wireline logging does. The Thru-Pipe Logging system offers multiple conveyance options. No chemical source logging is available as use the Generator Conpensated Neutron Tool (GCN-TM). Data can be acquired in real time when run on wireline, or it can be deployed by coiled tubing or drillpipe in memory mode. When it conveyed by drillpipe, it can be released by mechanical ball method or Timing control method. With ThruLog services, you can easily achieve reliable logging in challenging applications with data quality you expect from conventional tools. Our ThruLog tools are available for holes with diameters up to 16 in. They are environmentally corrected and fully characterized for:• Hole Size • Mud Weight• Mud Type • Potassium Content of Mud• Centered/Eccentered

Ultrasonic Scan Imaging Tool (USI)

www.RenheSun.comwww.geovista.cn

IntroductionThis tool is an acoustic device designed to produce detailed images of the wellbore wall (or casing). The USI pulse-echo transducer emits a high frequency acoustic pulse and measures the amplitude and the time of flight of the reflected wave. The amplitude of the reflected wave is affected by variations in the borehole surface. The travel time is indicative of the distance from the transducer to the wellbore wall. The acoustic transducer is mounted on a rotating section, allowing the USI to scan the full 360 degrees of the wellbore producing two images or maps.

Array Induction Tool (AIT)

www.RenheSun.comwww.geovista.cn

IntroductionThe Array Induction Tool (AIT) uses multi-spacing and multi-frequency measurements to acquire a complete set of data from the formations surrounding the borehole. The multi-spacing measurements allow improved conductivity measurements in complex environments. The short-spacing measurements (as short as 6-inch spacing) allow improved correction for borehole, rugosity and invasion effects. The long-spacing measurements (up to 94-inch spacing) are useful in deep invasion situations. The multiple-frequency measurements allow for an improved skin-effect correction and data quality checking. AIT allows us to characterize invasion profiles, even in oil-based muds.

IntroductionApplicationsRt determination in conductive mud systems

Thin-bed evaluation

Invasion characterization for permeability indication

Rt measurements free of Groningen effects

Water saturation determination

Identification of fluid contacts

The ALT provides five independent, actively focused, depth- and resolution- matched measurements that can resolve the true formation resistivity in thinly bedded and deeply invaded formations. Unprecedented combinability results from the through-wired tool design. The absence of a current return at surface as well as no required use of a bridle greatly improves wellsite efficiency.

Thin Layer Resistivity Tool (TLR)

www.RenheSun.comwww.geovista.cn

IntroductionFeaturesResolve formation resistivity for beds down to about two inches (5cm) in thickness

Provides a borehole Caliper and rugosity Caliper and imultaneously perform measurements for Microlaterolog (MLL) or Minilog (ML)

The Thin Layer Resistivity Tool (TLR) provides, under reasonable logging conditions, a very good estimation of the formation resistivity for beds of even less than two inches (5 cm.) in thickness. This is possible because while other high resolution, micro-resistivity type instruments generally exhibit a depth of investigation on the order of few inches, the TLR instrument a has depth of investigation in the range of 13 in. (33 cm.) to 21 in. ( 53 cm.), taken as the radial distance from the borehole wall into the formation which produces 50% of the tool response.

Elemental Capture Tool (ECT)

www.RenheSun.comwww.geovista.cn

IntroductionApplicationsCarbonate, gypsum or anhydrite, QFM, pyrite, siderite coal, and salt fractions for complex reservoir analysis

Matrix density and matrix neutron values for more accurate porosity calculation

Mineralogy-based permeability estimates

Coalbed methane bed delineation, producibility, and in-situ reserves estima-tion

The Elemental Capture Tool (ECT) incorporates an electronic pulsed-neutron source in order to generate gamma rays from capture and inelastic nuclear interactions with energies indicative of the parent elements. The ECT service incorporates both the ECT and the Gamma Ray instruments in order to provide lithological and quantitative mineralogical information about the subsurface formations that surround the borehole. This is achieved by first identifying the individual elements in the formation using the principles of gamma ray spectroscopy for both natural and neutroninducedgamma ray spectra.

It also could be combined by Downhole Casing&Tubing Tractor logging for horizontal well. In can be attached to the Warrior system. It evaluates cement bond integrity. In addition to measures of the amplitude of sonic signal passing along the casing, the RBM radial receiver generates a map of the cement. The RBM is equipped with one transmitter and two sensors constructed of piezoelectric crystals. The Near receiver, located 3 ft from the transmitter, is constructed of a 6-sector radial receiver. Each sector provides bond data covering a 60 degree section of casing. The primary amplitude is constructed from radial signals at the near receiver. The far receiver, located 5’ from the transmitter, generates a Variable Density Log (VDL). The RBM deploys in deviated/horizontal holes, It slotted sleeve technology imparts sound isolation, rigidity and tool strength. The tool is comprised of corrosion resistant materials throughout.

The Pipe Conveyed Logging Tool-B (PCL-B) is used to provide assurance that the logging tools will be able to successfully survey the intended interval of the wellbore.

Pipe Conveyed Logging Tool-B (PCL-B) Pipe convey logging system used in

horizontal wells and the difficulty logging equipment, which can at high temperature, high pressure, high conductivity mud media of downhole to achieve the docking cable and instruments , the system can remain unchanged in the conventional logging projects The premise and guarantee the quality of measurement tasks to complete, it can be coring, repeat formation test, dip logging, perforating and so on. Using this system can not only measured by conventional logging the best information, but can also be micro-resistivity scanning operations. In the course of a logging operation, can measure all standard measurements, with significant economic benefits.

Advantages of Logging While Fishing (LWF)

Get logging data under bad borehole situation during the fishing operation.Conventional operation on the wellsite like PCL (Pipe Conveyed Logging).Only need side-entry sub, torpedo & fishing equipment.Saves logging data after fishing operation.Provides a different logging choice under bad borehole situation.Saves drilling time.

Wireline is the most common method of conveying logging tools into well, however the well condition should be good. Normally the deviation should be smaller than 45 deg.

Logging with wireline

When the well restrictions or other obstructions render traditional wireline operations problematic or even impossible, logging can be done through drill pipe with wireline.

Logging with wireline through drill pipe

Connect the reamer bit to the lower hunger instead of the mule shoe. The parameters (Torque 38000 lb/f, WOB (weight of bit) 15000 kg, Rotation 10 RPM, Pressure 8 MPa) is same with conventional way without the reamer bit when resistance or stuck occurred. However, the rotation speed of the Weatherford company’ tools can be up to 60 rpm in the same way.Note: Drilling cannot be performed with the tools inside the pipe, Just reaming and conditioning is allowed.

Logging after reaming (Reamer bit)

The portal bit is used to ream or condition to TD after finish drilling.Pull up the bit off the bottom to provide space for the logging toolstring, which is pumped through the drillpipe.Running in hole the tool string with wireline, start pumping to push the tools down and push through the portal bit. Disconnect the wireline and pull out of the drillpipe. Logging occurs while pick up the drill pipe.Tools are pulled up to the casing after the logging is complete. The retrieval tool with wireline is lower in the pipe to latch onto the tool string and return to surface. After the logging tools are pulled up to surface, the driller can resume operations while the logging data is reviewed.

Logging through the bit (Portal bit)

Open-ended drillpipe (with reamer bit or mule shoe) is lowered into the well past the restriction or zone of difficulty. The tools are then lowered through the pipe into open hole to acquire data in the zone of interest. In wells with multiple restrictions, the drillpipe can be repositioned by connecting the SES to ensure data is acquired over the entire zone of interest. The tools acquire data while pulling back into the pipe and then to surface. The drillpipe completes the trip to TD to condition the well.
