Three Penguins in the Tundra By Christina, Tatum & Michelle There were three penguins living in the tundra biome. One penguin was named Christina, the second penguin was named Tatum & the third penguin was named Michelle. One day they saw a mysterious thing in the tundra that didn’t belong there. It was a desk. The three penguins walked over to it and thought it was the best thing they ever saw. But they had no idea why it was there. “What would a desk be doing here in the tundra?” Christina asked. “ I don’t know but I am going to keep it.” Tatum said. “But I want

the desk to myself.” Michelle said.

EVERY BODY STOP! I’m getting the desk, after all, I am the leader.” “That is not fair at all! I deserve the desk because I’m the one who saw it first.” Tatum argued. “No you didn’t! I did!” Michelle yelled. As the three friends screamed and yelled at each other, they didn’t realize that a big, old, mean and nasty tundra swan emerged from a hole in the ice. “Ahhh!” yelped Christina. “It’s a… a…A MONSTER!” “I think it’s a tundra swan.”

Tatum said. “You know, the birds that live here that are white and NOT a monster.” Michelle said. So the trio walked over to the tundra swan. “What are you doing Tundra Swan?” Christina asked. The tundra swan looked very stern. “ I was looking for potatoes. Would you possibly have some spare ones?” “Um, no I don’t. And may I ask, why exactly do you need some…uh potatoes?” Tatum asked. “No reason. I’m just a weird old tundra swan that dose not know where to go.” He babbled. “Um … alright then, w…we a…are going t…o go now. If you don’t mind.” Michelle said. “Ok… 1 banana, 2 banana, 3 banana, 4, 5 banana, 6 banana, 7 banana MORE!” sang the weird swan. So the

three penguins left to return to the desk. “How about we settle this whole argument and just let me have the desk?” Suggested Michelle. “NO!” We should settle the argument by letting me have the desk!” Tatum screamed. “I think that it would be by far more fair if I’m the one who gets the desk.” Christina said. “And why is that?” Michelle asked. “Its only fair that I get the desk because I will have the most use for it. I will sit on it whenever I

please and I will place things on it.” Christina explained. “But I was going to put some of my most valuable things in there.’’ Tatum said. “I was going to do all of those things.” Michelle said as she angrily kicked the hard snow. The three penguins didn’t notice the weird swan return and start to lick Christina’s fin. “What is wrong with you?” Christina asked. “Oh, Sorry I got hungry. I wanted to see if you tasted like Creme Brule.” “Umm I don’t even know what that is.” Christina said. “ For your information, it’s a mysterious taco.” He said. “Good to know.” Christina said sarcastically. “Now GO!” Christina. “Gee Whiz.” Said the Weird old Swan as he slowly walked away. “I thought Tundra swans flew for transportation.” Michelle said. “You’re right, they do; its one of their behavioral adaptations.” Tatum said.” Apparently its not one of his.” Christina mumbled. “So… how do we decide on who gets to keep the desk without fighting over it?” “I don’t know.’’ Both Tatum and Christina said at the same time. Suddenly, the weird Tundra swan swooped down and flew away with the desk. “Hey come back here with our desk!” The three penguins screamed.

“You guys aren’t getting this desk back because it could cost your friendship.” “Cost our friendship?” Michelle asked in confusion. The weird swan continued. “I mean you guys started fighting over this delicious desk. And if you keep fighting, you guys might not be friends anymore. So I’m keeping the desk! Adios Amigos!” “Surprisingly, he’s right.” Christina said. “Yes, he is. We should just forget about the desk so we won’t argue anymore.” Tatum said. “I agree.” Michelle said. So the three penguins walked side-by-side into the sunset.
