Three Liberty Industrial Projects Shortlisted for World Demolition

Awards Liberty Industrial projects have been shortlisted in three categories of the 2016 World

Demolition Awards.

12 September 2016 – Three Liberty Industrial projects have been shortlisted as finalists for the 2016

World Demolition Awards.

Liberty Industrial’s Hamilton Wharves Demolition, Clyde Refinery Removal and Duck River Bridge

Dismantling projects are all contenders for the 2016 awards.

The awards are held as part of the annual Word Demolition Summit, the leading annual event for the

world’s demolition industry. The event celebrates excellence and innovation within the demolition

industry. Now in its eighth year, the event attracts thousands of demolition and recycling professionals

each year.

Liberty Industrial’s Hamilton Wharves Demolition was shortlisted as a finalist in the Civil Demolition

Award category. The project involved the removal of more than 18,000m2 of wharf structure including

over 1900 piles.

Liberty Industrial’s Clyde Refinery Removal Project was shortlisted as a finalist in the Contract of the

Year over US$1 million category. The project involved the demolition and removal of an entire oil

refinery facility.

Liberty Industrial’s Duck River Bridge Dismantling Project was shortlisted as a finalist for the Contract

of the Year under US$1 million category at the 2016 World Demolition Awards. The project involved

the removal of a redundant 70 metre pipe bridge over the Duck River at Viva Energy’s Clyde Terminal.

This is the fifth consecutive year that Liberty Industrial have had projects shortlisted. The Liberty

Industrial team are eagerly anticipating the announcement of the winners at the awards gala dinner on

Friday 14 October in Miami.
