An ‘Opportunity Recognition’ Innovation & Entrepreneurship education This seminar is part of the I&E curriculum provided by a EIT Digital Doctoral School. Objective This Innovation and Entrepreneurship seminar is an intensive one-week training seminar focused on the ideation process for a new product or service opportunity to a business model. Methodology Groups of participants will work on a specific idea for product or service case inspired by a real entrepreneur. It will take them from the opportunity recognition stage to the business modeling concept (what it means from a business perspective). This case-study will be complemented with testimonials from entrepreneurs on their business creation experience and with lectures from experts on creativity process, innovation management, project management (agile) and business modeling methodology (Business Model Canvas). It will also engage the participants (doctoral candidates, young researchers) in team collaboration and knowledge sharing. It will be concluded by a formal presentation in front of a jury which will stimulate their ability to present on a synthetic way the result of their work.
