On the Lookout Matching uppercase letters Prior to playing this small-group game, select four or five different letters to feature and randomly place multiple copies of each corresponding picture card (pages 118–122) on a tabletop. As the children watch, write on a whiteboard a letter that matches one of the letters displayed. Call on several volunteers to each locate and pick up a match and name the letter. Continue playing in this way until all the picture cards have been collected; then repeat the game to rein- force recognition of other letters. This section contains 14 easy ways to use the reproducibles in this book to make alphabet practice fun and fruitful!
