Bluegrass Night is held at Viva Cantina. Conveniently located at 900 Riverside Drive in Burbank. Free parking across the street at the bowling alley. You can order off the menu which includes some of the best Mexican food in town. Beer and Margharitas are $3.00 each. For additional information, visit the BASC Website The Miskey Mountain Boys The Miskey Mountain Boys are more than just a great Bluegrass Band... and once you’ve experienced their show, you’ll know why. These world class multi-instrumental musicians have been to playing to sold out houses and standing ovations for more than 20 years. Featuring the incredible talents of John W Marshall (bass, fiddle, viola), Evan J Marshall (mandolin), Duane Michaels (fiddle, banjo, guitar), and Michelle Lynskey (bass, vocals). Individually, they’ve performed at such prestigious venues as the HOLLYWOOD BOWL, and with multiple Pops Symphony Orchestras across the United States. They have been featured performers in in tele- vision, film and stage, including HBO’s series, BIG LOVE, Garrison Keillior’s A PRAIRIE HOME COMPANION, and The Johnny Cash tribute show, THE RING OF FIRE. Now, they’re combining their extraordinary talents to create an incredible, one-of-a-kind band. This wonderful show consists of unique and exciting musical arrangements that incorporate jazz, clas- sical and swing with traditional bluegrass, and includes such innovative elements as exuberant double double slap bassing, blazing fiddle duets, driving Bluegrass tunes, amazing vocals and harmonies and powerful step dancing. Add in the joy and camaraderie of these long time friends, and you have an evening of fun you won’t soon forget. WE ARE BASCThe Bluegrass Association of Southern California Herersquos what we do The BASC Bluegrass Jam in the Park On the fourth Sunday of every month pickers from far and wide gather at one of Southern Californiarsquos premier bluegrass events the BASC Bluegrass Jam This jam is for pickers of all skills and experience The location of the Jam is the West Valley Music Center 24424 Vanowen Street West Hills CA 91307
Bluegrass Night at Viva Cantina On the third Monday of every month we provide a showcase for Southern Californiarsquos best bluegrass bands (and an occasional traveling band) at this great Burbank restaurant Admission is free and Viva Cantina serves up some of the best Ameri-can and Mexican food around and at reasonable prices
BASC eNewsletter We keep track of Southern California bluegrass jams gigs and festivals with our unique eNewsletter The eNewsletter goes out each month to all our members and friends via email and Facebook
BASC Web Site Our web site at wwwsocalbluegrassorg is a valu-able source of information about bluegrass going-ons in Southern Cal-ifornia It also has an interactive calendar where you can list your own Bluegrass events Check it out
BASC Volunteers We help people get involved in the bluegrass scene and meet a lot of nice folks as well Bring your talents energy and dreams and help us make it happen
BASC Member Bands We list all our member bands with links to their websites each month in our eNewsletter Member bands also get a chance to show their stuff to an enthusiastic audience at BASC Blue-grass Night
