to nourish? “It is never crowded along the extra mile.” —Wayne Dyer. How am I going to treat other people in my home and in my business? “He/she is not interested.” • Another 24% quit after the second contact. • Another 14% quit after the third contact. • And another 12% quit after the fourth contact. • That’s 94% quitting. Only 6% see that a contact can

become a contract. The R stands for relationships. You need time to build and strengthen relation-ships.

• “Dollars follow value.” —Tony Rob-bins. If you want more dollars, you simply add more value. “Offer value wherever I go, whether I am paid or not.” Add value to people’s lives. You’re already living this. Ask your-self, “How can I implement this?” Build it into your schedule.

2. Great Questions. Ask more, talk less. What you’re asking, not what you’re tell-ing, has the most influence. “The quality of your life is based on the quality of the questions you’re asking yourself.” —Tony Robbins. Take inventory as part of your self-care. “What do I need to start/stop doing in my life? What’s my number one distraction and how can I eliminate it?”

Master great questions and people sell themselves. If something comes from a person’s mouth, it’s gospel. If it comes from your mouth, it’s an opinion. We want to educate people…draw them out to themselves with great questions.

THE 5 GATES OF CLOSING SALES1. Now. Understand where a person is right now. Pain lives here. People buy emotionally and decide/justify choices logically. When people want something they will find the resources for it.2. Dreams. Discover a person’s dreams and goals, what they want to achieve or have life to be like.3. Gap. Here’s where my life is now and here is where I want it to be. 4. Commitment. Help them commit to seeking change in their own lives.5. Solution.

THE LAW OF THE HARVESTRemember, the harvest cannot be prevented. It’s easy to get discouraged if you’re putting time in, watering, weeding and not getting results as quickly as you like. But if you persist, you will harvest. Be faithful and persistent. You may be in the July (adversity, struggle, challenge) of your life seeing little sprouts. You’re hot,

sweaty and tired. Push through July and you will meet with success. Loyalty pays great dividends. Be true to your dreams and your dreams will be true to you.

Executive Director of Practitioner Marketing, Josh Sube, asked Linda Lalonde to join him onstage at Leaders Conference and share what she was doing with the IN.FORM program. She enlightened managers in attendance about her amazing success and transformation into a leader via this program. She also shared some helpful tips.

In the 17 months from the Cincinnati National Convention to Leaders Conference 2015, I’ve run 18 IN.FORM sessions. I hold five groups a week in my shop, and every class is full with 14–17 people. Obviously, I can’t teach all of these, so I have six coaches under me who teach some of the classes. They also have several of their own classes every week, so if a participant can’t make it to my location, he or she can make it to someone else’s location in the next town over and not miss anything.

Next Wednesday morning, I’ll start teaching the IN.FORM program at a local junior college. And my husband is going to resume teaching an IN.FORM group just for men. Our last one was very popular. The men really loved to talk about their health! I never expected that.

I started holding IN.FORM groups in the back of a chiropractor’s office with just three or four people who I had to bribe and seven others who sat through it. It has grown and grown. Now I have a shop. We’re going kind of crazy with success. I do advertise for the groups somewhat, but it’s mainly word-of-mouth advertising that gets people interested in joining us.

For people without a retail location, I suggest partnering with health clubs or physical therapy offices…wherever you can find a space. Some of my coaches use my location now. Others use a church or meet at a Starbucks. The point is…use your resources.

I have six coaches running nine of my groups. They’re doing awesome things. And seven people are sitting in on my classes now, mentoring and getting ready to get officially certified as coaches.

If anyone is on the fence or maybe certified with IN.FORM but isn’t doing anything right now, I say just do it. It has changed my life entirely. I was never interested in weight management as a business, but IN.FORM is so much more. And it’s so much better than anything else out there because it’s a holistic program, and it’s going to support everyone in their efforts to get healthy. Customers love IN.FORM because it works. And it’s set up in such a great format that people get a little bit of information at a time so it’s not overwhelming to them. The bottom line is people have success. It makes sense and it’s doable. IN.FORM just works.

I found the meal replacement shakes satisfying, I did not feel deprived and I believe it helped me enjoy food, simply and cleanly prepared so much more as I experienced real satisfaction.Last, I HAD to do something for myself and for my children and I did. I am delighted with the excellent results I see with NSP’s IN.FORM program. It is helping people to change the way they live, eat and take supplements and meal replacements. APPLYING IN.FORM TO MY NSP BUSINESS

FINDING POTENTIAL COACHESI meet with each person individually in order to track his or her health progress. After the first session, they return two weeks later and see how their health is improving. They also notice that what I do is simple and duplicable, and some of them show interest in becoming coaches. At that time, I suggest they invite other people to our group meetings so these referrals may learn while watching. I also suggest that they attend our training sessions on Fridays where I train them to become members of a franchise business and make IN.FORM their career.I want them to focus on learning and seeing how they too can earn an income with the IN.FORM program. I explain that IN.FORM is a means to earn money and improve their health. If they seem interested, I present IN.FORM as a franchise, but I do not let them get certified without training. I direct them and teach them personally; if they become certified without training, there’s a much greater chance that they will lose interest. So, before they certify I first train them thoroughly. That works better!Of course there are some who do not wish to become IN.FORM coaches initially. I still follow up with them, because you never know if they might change their minds.

IN.FORM IS FOR EVERYONEIN.FORM is a great vehicle. I saw that in my group. For example, Elizabeth Marrufo has an IN.FORM business in San Bernardino, and in a short time she has become a Manager. So, no matter if you are a massage therapist, if you work with Chinese herbs, etc…everyone should be able to incorporate the program into what they are already doing.It is important to involve the next generation, the youth…your children. Teach them and give them the opportunity to see a real career in action. My daughter Stephanie has become a certified IN.FORM Coach. She is also an NSP Manager and is building a Nature’s Sunshine business that is paying for her education. (She will graduate in May in international business.) She works sharing IN.FORM and selling NSP products.If you are not yet taking advantage of IN.FORM: I encourage you to get involved. Judy Pladna, an Area Manager from Dubuque, Iowa, is an IN.FORM coach and NSP retailer. Her growing business has propelled her to great success in the I-Inspire program. We recently asked Judy about her growth, her new shop and the secrets of her success.

NATURE’S SUNSHINE HAS NO EQUALI got started with Nature’s Sunshine by using Intestinal Soothe and Build and Stomach Comfort to help my husband support his digestion. We then started sharing NSP products with others, which inspired me to certify as a master herbalist to have the credibility to reach out to my community. I started out doing consultations first. Then about two years ago, we opened a retail shop in a 120-square-foot space. When we started offering the IN.FORM program, we didn’t have room, so our groups met at a chiropractor’s office. Then, because of our success with IN.FORM, I opened In.SIGHT – A Place of Wellness where we offer IN.FORM groups, yoga and fitness classes, massage and meditation, and, of course, Nature’s Sunshine supplements.

One thing I’ve done recently that has really made a difference in our growth and success has been using social media to get our business out there. I basically learned how to do it as I went along. I have found the most success using Facebook®, but I’m also on Pinterest and using Twitter and Instagram a bit. There’s information everywhere. Just look at what other successful people are doing and use that as a pattern.

LOSING = WINNING WITH IN.FORM I now have eight IN.FORM coaches on my team! We have seven IN.FORM groups going right now at our In.SIGHT center. I think having a place to meet is key to our success with IN.FORM. I also emphasize food journaling a lot. It helps people realize just how much and exactly what they put into their bodies, and it’s a real eye-opening experience for many people.

MANAGER SUCCESS SPOTLIGHT: Judy Pladna

The success of our group members sells people on the program...it attracts new members to the groups. People who love IN.FORM tend to really promote it to their friends and neighbors. Then we start new groups and people feel better, and it continues.IN.FORM has definitely made my business stronger. Without it, I would not have been able to open up my new In.SIGHT center. IN.FORM is a gateway to other NSP products, and it provides an opportunity to meet people who otherwise wouldn’t have shown interest in NSP.

BOOSTING RETAIL WITH SAMPLES AND POP On the retail side of business, offering samples has been very important to our success. We have done well offering samples of meal replacements, Stixated® and AnxiousLess®, which triggers sales immediately. I’ve also utilized posters and banners, taking advantage of some of the point-of-purchase materials from Nature’s Sunshine, and I’ve made my own creations. I mostly promote product and health categories like weight management and stress.

GOALS + TRAINING What else helps me succeed? Goal setting. Absolutely! I am highly motivated by numbers. I set three goals at a time, so I don’t get overwhelmed and can accomplish them more effectively. One of my current goals is to hold successful events for my team to learn and grow their businesses.In terms of training my group, I hold one monthly meeting with my first- and second-level managers to work on business building. I also hold one-on-one meetings as needed. I am known to drop in on their IN.FORM meetings to inspire their groups. I rely heavily on private Facebook groups to answer any questions they have.

I-INSPIRING FAMILY During 2014, I qualified through I-Inspire to attend National Convention in Anaheim in April 2015. What a fantastic trip to California! I brought with me one of my daughters and two of my sisters. The event inspired both of my sisters to become IN.FORM coaches. So far Jody has taught one solid group and incorporated yoga into the class! It was fantastic and served as another motivation for me to open the In.SIGHT center so we would have room for yoga. My sister Grace is halfway through teaching her first two IN.FORM groups. Both of my sisters have found their own health success with IN.FORM and are sharing that through their own groups.

JUDY’S TIPS FOR SUCCESS 1. Change your mind-set. Don’t “sell,” share. 2. Oils are hot right now. Use them as an attention getter.3. Remember, NO just means Next Opportunity.4. Focus on the audience you already have.5. Remember the importance of teamwork.6. Keep IN.FORM simple. The program is well-written and

thought out. It needs no embellishments. 7. Hosting events can be stressful. Focus on daily activity

to get the word out. And remember, it’s not about having a full house. I’ve seen better results with a few of the right prospects than a room full of people who don’t want to be there.

To me, the most gratifying part of having an NSP business is the ability to share health with my community. I love the feeling of helping someone find support for health and expanding his/her knowledge. After all, many of us in the Nature’s Sunshine family are teachers whether we are called herbal sponsors, practitioners or doctors. The education and support from this company is why I chose them to be the vehicle for me to help others.

Many small business owners realize how important “being social” is to the success of their businesses. A recent study showed that 33% of small business owners spend 1–5 hours each week marketing on SM. One-fourth of small business owners spend 6–10 hours per week doing the same. Is supporting health through IN.FORM® the way you want to build your business? Maybe you are concerned about children’s health and nutrition. Maybe you are a detox diva. Whatever your passion, use it as your starting point.

Insert yourself into the conversation! Find health-related blogs and follow them. Bloggers love getting comments. When you find an interesting or enjoyable article, let the blogger know. Ask questions in the comments section. If you have something to add to an article, make a comment. Feel free to answer questions you find in the comments section of blog articles. Posts on Facebook and Pins on Pinterest also allow you to leave comments.

If you have more than a few minutes each day, consider creating a Facebook group. Pick your favorite topic and start a group that focuses on that. If yours is essential oils, then your group becomes a great place to share recipes, stories and to get to know others who have a similar interest. If you don’t want to start a group, find one to join. In addition to Facebook, www.reddit.com, is another place you can find groups that share your interests.

You can also increase your network using LinkedIn. This can be as easy as endorsing someone’s skills. When he/she sees that you’ve given your endorsement, he/she may check out your LinkedIn profile. LinkedIn can also be used to connect with organizations or individuals who share your interests.

NETWORKING…IT’S WHO YOU KNOW AND WHAT YOU KNOW.

Share what you know online. Knowledge comes step by step. If you aren’t an expert on something yet, you can be. NSP has resources you can use to become an expert. Our blog has over 400 articles on a variety of health-related topics.

EXPAND YOUR SPHERE OF INFLUENCE USING

Use the search tool at the top of the page to find a topic you like. For example, type in “essential oils” and you’ll get a list of over 25 articles on the topic. If you share our articles, make sure you add your account number to the end of the URL so you are rewarded when someone makes a purchase because he/she clicked on the article you posted. Learn more about this here.

A vast amount of health information exists online; make sure you are using good sources. In addition to our blog, try finding blogs or websites ending with .edu or .gov. Then once you’ve gained knowledge, share it. Write blog articles and post them on your blog. If you’re writing an article to share on SM, shoot for 400–500 words. If you want search engine optimization value (you want to show up in Google rankings), you’ll need to write closer to 2,000 words.

Consistency is important when you’re blogging. Post at least once a week. If you don’t have a blog or don’t want to write that often, consider sharing your article on our blog as a guest blogger.

Of course, you don’t have to write an entire article to share what you’ve learned. Sharing your knowledge on Twitter only takes 120 characters. To increase the likelihood that what you share will be seen on social sites, don’t forget to use a hashtag (#).

As you start to follow blogs and look at online content, you’ll realize that you need to set yourself apart from all of the information out there. We offer a few tips:

1. Build trust. Approach interacting with others online as you would when meeting someone for the first time. You probably wouldn’t pitch NSP right away unless it naturally comes up in the conversation. Don’t spam in your comments. Add something to the conversation

about health and nutrition. Social media is about building trust. Once trust is built, the sales should follow.

2. Think visual. Use images and/or videos to increase your SM network: a. Before and after photos b. Product photos c. Your favorite healthful meal d. Use basic design tools (like canva.com) to create memes or quotes to share.

3. Use hashtags. A hashtag makes whatever you put on SM searchable.

Preparing for the future is always good practice. As a Nature’s Sunshine Products (NSP) independent distributor, this includes mentoring your successline, particularly those you personally sponsor, to help them learn how to better support their customers and build their business. Planning ahead can also include preparing your business for the time that you decide to retire and sell or otherwise hand over your business to someone else.

Sometimes unplanned events occur that can be difficult and time-consuming to resolve. Nature’s Sunshine has provided a Beneficiary of Account form online that is designed to help prepare your account in case of unplanned events, including the passing of an NSP account holder. This form directs Nature’s Sunshine as to who will be the beneficiary(ies) of the NSP account under such circumstances.

To find the form, click here it’s the Select Beneficiary form, under the Account and Business Information heading.

Completing this form requires the signatures of all current owners on the account. Because this document tells Nature’s Sunshine who will be the beneficiary of your business, it does require notarization before you submit it to NSP Customer Service.
