We pray for the repose of the soul of Anne O’Neill.. Mr O’Neill asks that instead of flowers donations

We prray for the soul of Lionel Luton. The requiem Mass is on Tuesday 7th July at 12.00pm.

We pray for the repose of Flavella Lawrence.

We pray for those who are ill at this unique time, and those who care for the sick. We pray for Alexandria Namukasa, Fr. Henry’s mother.

This week is the First Friday/ First Saturday. Important for devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Immaculate Heart of Mary. See devotions on the Friday and Saturday.

An Appeal: For Fr. Henry to be able to go to Uganda: We humbly ask that donations be made so that Fr. Henry may be able to go back to Uganda to see his mother. Could we please be generous at this time for this cause, and Fr. Henry’s mother is very ill, and the flight in two weeks time will be more expensive than normal, with also paying for quarantine at the other end for two weeks. We need to raise about £3,000

Masses next Saturday/Sunday can be attended but the Church is limiting its numbers to 80 persons to cover social distancing.

To help with this there will be three extra Masses, Saturday: 4.30pm, Sunday 12.00pm, 4.30pm

For this weekend Face masks or coverings have been recommended but not mandatory. We may decide it to be so for the weekend after.

There will be no Mass at St. Georges at this time.

While the Sunday obligation is being waived at this time, if there are concerns about attending on the Sunday it is recommended to attend during the week instead.

Volunteers: We ask for volunteers for each of the Masses. We have Masks and gloves etc for

those who feel the need for these. Please come early for these. Please contact Fr. Stephen for details.

Confessions: Available before and during every Saturday/Sunday Mass next weekend.

On Sunday there is the normal exposition at 7.30am.

Through Peter and Paul and the apostles

we have heard the good news of the gospel.

With hope, then, let us lift our voices in prayer

to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ:

• For our Church and parish,

that every prayer and work of ours

may proclaim that Jesus is the Messiah:

• For Pope Francis, Archbishop Peter and the bishops of our Church,

that they may faithfully continue the teaching mission

begun by Peter and the apostles,

that "all the nations might hear the gospel":

• For those who have dedicated themselves

Miraculous Invocation to St. Therese

O Glorious St. Therese, whom Almighty God has raised up to aid and inspire the

human family, I implore your Miraculous Intercession. You are so powerful in

obtaining every need of body and spirit from the Heart of God. Holy Mother

Church proclaims you “Prodigy of Miracles… the greatest saint of Modern

Times.” Now I fervently beseech you to answer my petition (mention here) and

to carry out your promises of spending heaven doing good on earth… of letting

fall from Heaven a Shower of Roses. Little Flower, give me your childlike faith,

to see the Face of God in the people and experiences of my life, and to love

God with full confidence. St. Therese, my Carmelite Sister, I will fulfill your plea

“to be made known everywhere” and I will continue to lead others to Jesus

through you. Amen.

Tuesday

Unfailing Prayer to St. Anthony

Blessed be God in His Angels and in His Saints

St. Anthony, gentlest of Saints, your love for God and charity for his creatures,

made you worthy, when on earth, to possess miraculous powers. Miracles

waited on your word, which you were ready to speak for those in trouble or

anxiety. Encouraged by this thought, I ask you to obtain for me the favors that I

seek (mention your request here).

The answer to my prayer may require a miracle, even so, you are the Saint of

Miracles.

O gentle and loving St. Anthony, whose heart was full of sympathy, whisper my

petition into the ears of the Infant Jesus, who loved to be held in your arms; and

the gratitude of my heart will ever be yours. Amen

Oh, St. Joseph, whose protection is so great, so strong, so prompt before the throne of God. I

place in you all my interests and desires. Oh, St. Joseph, do assist me by your powerful

intercession, and obtain for me from your divine Son all spiritual blessings, through Jesus

Christ, our Lord. So that, having engaged here below your heavenly power, I may offer my

thanksgiving and homage to the most loving of Fathers.

Prayer for the Intercession of St. Padre Pio

Dear God, You generously blessed Your servant,St. Pio of Pietrelcina,

with the gifts of the Spirit. You marked his body with the five wounds

of Christ Crucified, as a powerful witness to the saving Passion and Death of Your

Son. Endowed with the gift of discernment,

St. Pio labored endlessly in the confessional for the salvation of souls.

With reverence and intense devotion in the celebration of Mass,

he invited countless men and women to a greater union with Jesus Christ

in the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist.

Through the intercession of St. Pio of Pietrelcina,I confidently beseech You to grant
