PASTOR’S POTPOURRI —PEACE BE WITH YOU

On this third Sunday in Easter, the disciples who have just been to Emmaus come back to Jerusalem and tell the others what hap-pened there. And Jesus comes to them, saying “Peace be with you.” They are still incredulous so he shows them his wounds to prove he is not a ghost. Then he asks for

something to eat to help them know that he is indeed risen from the dead. Then he opened their minds so that they might un-derstand the scriptures.

The Lord is present with us today in His Word and Eucha-rist. We are fed by him that we might continue to announce the good news of the resurrection.

For we are witnesses just as were the apostles. May we find someone this week to tell about Jesus and your own faith.

— Fr. Bob

If you have a pledge card that was given to you by one of our ambassadors, please complete it as quickly as possible. You may call your ambassador to pick it up. Or, you can put it in the Sunday collection or drop it at the parish office.
