Since 1987 Things to take into consideration when providing measurements for your new custom fit DMP Awning Standard steel or aluminum constructed trailers *Note* Start at the back of the trailer and locate the center of first stud that has no obstructions such as cast corner moldings and radiused corners. Normal frame spacing is between 96” to 120” to the next frame forward. The next measurement to take down is the distance from the bottom edge of the top trim/extrusion of the trailer to the top edge of the door. This is very critical on shorter trailers especially when the door opens past the front of the trailer. When measuring A-frame vertical spread, on all trailers, you will have a lower horizontal tube on each end frame. You will need to take into consideration the clearance needed from the ground to the bottom of this tube. The fabric will hang below this tube. If possible please provide us with a few good digital pictures of the side of the trailer as well as the service door.
