Prices are exclusive of import inspection fees, local taxes, withholding taxes and New Zealand GST that may be applicable. All prices are quoted in NZ dollars and may be reviewed at any time. An extra charge may be made for samples requiring special or difficult processing methods, following consultation with the submitter.We can invoice in other major currencies. Thin Sections Turnaround times: Turnaround times: Standard service is typically 4-6 weeks from receipt of samples, depending on volumes submitted and queue in lab. A priority service is available.

Sample requirements
Fist sized samples may be sent for thin section, but it is often better to saw the samples into centimetre thick slabs before dispatch. Take care to clearly mark any special orientation marks and preferably include a diagram or digital image to indicate such marks clearly.
If you are sending samples from outside New Zealand please contact us and we will send you instructions for sending samples and a New Zealand biosecurity Import Permit that must be included with the package.
We reserve the right to impregnate (with associated extra cost) samples with porosity or cracks that may fill with abrasive during processing and cause problems with lapping. Coarse grained rocks are better represented by larger thin sections. We will advise if we think a larger section will be beneficial for your specific coarse grained rocks (with associated costs)
