Delores became “Grandma Dee” with six grandchildren, Derek, Jillian, Jenna, Dane, Kristin, and Brennan. And she currently has three great-grandchildren, Reagan, Rylee, and Denver. A fourth child is on the way, making a grand appearance this coming August! Dee is happy with her life, and her goals are to be happy and to continue to play bingo! We are so thankful that Jim, a retired pastor, has joined the Fountains as our Chaplain. He and his wife, Val , have agreed to volunteer their time to offer their services to our residents and their families. You will see the Harveys at the Fountains for special events, and they will also be available for private counseling/personal visits. In addition, Jim has agreed to assist with future memorial services that are held here at the Fountains. We are very appreciative of Jim and Val’s willingness to share their gifts of ministry with us. Meet Delores Echols

Welcome to Jim Harvey!

The aesthetic view of the rolling hills from the Fountains was beautiful and caught the eye of Delores Echols. Delores toured the facility with her children and fell in love with the apartment’s screen porch. The porch reminded her of the screen porch at her condo in Sarasota, Florida, with the exception that the screen porch here doesn’t come with an ocean view! But that didn’t stop Delores from falling

in love with the Fountains. The apartment kitchen was also one of the ultimate selling points because it made the Fountains feel like “home away from home”. After moving in, everyone treated Delores so special that she began to feel at home in more ways than one. Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Delores was an only child. Known as “Dee” for most of her life, Dee met her first husband of 32 years, Eugene, in her hometown of Detroit. The young couple had three children, Steven, Susan, and Shelley. Dee was a bookkeeper for International Building Products for twenty-five years. Unfortunately, an automobile accident took Eugene’s life in 1980. Years later, Dee married Fred, and sadly, he passed away after four years of marriage. Dee then moved to Sarasota to be close to the ocean. Dee was an active Elks Club member, and she also loved to socialize and attend all kinds of cocktail occasions. Her biggest passions are traveling, being at the ocean, her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren.

Meet Michelle SharpMichelle’s daughter, our very own Tiffany Dodd, mentioned a position open at the Fountains of Franklin. Tiffany also stated how much Michelle would love working with the residents, and she was right! Michelle says that her past jobs don’t even come close to her position at the Fountains. She feels blessed each day that she is allowed to spend with the residents. Michelle grew up in Nashville and later moved west per her parents’ wishes. She is currently a resident of Hickman County and has been one for the last twenty years. Michelle holds an associate degree in business administration. Michelle’s family is the most important thing to her. She has four daughters, Tricia, Tiffany, Tabatha, and Trina. And she has four grandsons, Blaze, Jace, Johnathan,

and Gavin, and one granddaughter, Emma. Michelle is a very proud mother and is blessed to have such a large and wonderful family. When Michelle is not at work, she enjoys fishing, kayaking, gardening, swimming and spending time with her adorable grandbabies. She loves introducing her grandbabies to activities that she enjoys. Michelle says it’s thrilling to see the excitement in their eyes. Her dreams include making a positive difference in someone’s life. If she can make someone else’s life a little happier and brighter than the day before, then she feels she has accomplished the ultimate dream. That is why Michelle feels fulfilled being a Resident Assistant. She has always enjoyed helping others, and the RA position allows her to accomplish this satisfaction.
