The problem formulations of this research are: what techniques are used
by the teacher in teaching English and how does the teacher applied the
techniques in teaching English at SMALB in SLB B/C Dharma Wanita Persatuan
Provinsi Kalimantan Selatan.
Subject of research in this thesis is the English teacher and 26 students at
SMALB in SLB B/C Dharma Wanita Persatuan Provinsi Kalimantan Selatan. The
objects of this research are the technique that is used by the English teacher and
the application of the technique in teaching and learning English.
To collect the data, the writer uses some techniques such as observation
and interview. Data processing in this research is divided into three stages; they
are editing, coding, and data interpretation. Then all the data are analyzed
descriptively and qualitatively.
The result of this research is: there were six techniques the teacher applied
in teaching English. They are Transcription, Questions and Answer, Repetition
Drill, Reading Aloud, Memorization, and Singing Song. The techniques those
were applied by the teacher are through three steps in teaching and learning
activity, pre-activity, while activity, and post-learning activity.

Permasalahan yang diteliti pada penelitian ini adalah tehnik apa yang
digunakan oleh guru dalam mengajar bahasa inggris dan bagaimana cara guru
mengaplikasikan tehnik tersebut dalam pengajaran bahasa inggris di SMALB
SLB B/C Dharma Wanita Persatuan Provinsi Kalimantan Selatan.
Subjek penelitian dalam skripsi ini adalah guru bahasa Inggris dan 26
siswa di SMALB SLB B/C Dharma Wanita Persatuan Provinsi Kalimantan
Selatan. Objek penelitiannya adalah tehnik yang digunakan oleh guru bahasa
inggris dan pengaplikasian tehnik tersebut dalam kegiatan belajar dan mengajar
bahasa Inggris.
Data penelitian ini dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan wawancara. Data
yang diperoleh diproses melalui beberapa tahap, yaitu mengedit data,
mengelompokkan data, dan menginterpretasi data. Terakhir data di analisa dengan
cara deskriptif dan kualitatif.
Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan, ada enam tehnik yang digunakan guru
dalam pengajaran bahasa inggris, yaitu Transcription, Question and Answer,
Repetition Drill, Reading Aloud, Memorization, dan Singing Song. Tiga tahap
yang diterapkan oleh guru dalam kegiatan mengajar dan belajar yaitu melalui
kegiatan awal, kegiatan inti, dan kegiatan akhir.
