Why use a thermostaticshower mixer?

Thermostatic Shower Mixers have a built-inthermostat which controls the temperatureof the water. This means that the watertemperature is unaffected by other factorswhich may affect water supply to the sho-wer, such as a washing machine or someo-ne flushing a toilet. The Latoscana thermo-static valve features a built-in temperaturestop to prevent accidental scalding. Thiscan be overridden, but it is designed toensure that a temperature fluctuation doesnot happen accidentally.

In addition to the safety considerations,thermostatic valves are high performancevalves. Thermostatic valves offer muchhigher water flow than traditional pressurebalanced valves. This makes them idealfor running multiple shower outlets,such as body sprays and handshowerssimultaneously.
