description

Its past time to shift from a victim perception of ourselves - to the truth that God has given us not fear - but power, love, and self control. These slides from a talk given at Blazing Fire Church by Pastor Brent Lokker on February 15, 2014. We are unpacking some of the key things that Danny Silk taught and imparted to us during his Keep Your Love On conference. Feb 7-8. Victim vs. Powerful• Looking for a rescuer to

make me feel safe and happy

• Circumstances and others dictate my happiness

• I’ll act miserable so you will help me

• I have no control of my life or my choices

• Uses “I can’t”, “I have to” and “I’ll try”

• Knows who they are and life flows out to others

• Knows their job is to control themselves, not others.

• Creates the environment in which they want to live--a safe place to know and be known intimately

• Chooses to love no matter what the other person says or does

Being a victim endswhen you make choices

not to be one!

“(A victim) will continue to recreate theirvictimized reality as long as they refuse

to repent from it and pursue being powerful.”~Danny Silk
