Ask your representativeto join the Federal budget and farm bill negotiations mean congressional
support for organics is critical.
The best way to get your congressman or congresswoman involved is to ask them to join the Organic Caucus. Sometimes a few calls or a visit from an organic farmer is all it takes.
This is a bipartisan caucus made up of U.S. House members who support the organic sector.
If your representative is not on the caucus, it’s time to give them a call. Use the U.S. Capitol switchboard at 202-224-3121. Call the Farmer Hotline with questions at 888-809-9297. µ µ µ µ µ µ

FORAGE FERMANTATION AND STORAGE AID
SILO MAXX SPECIAL
Sased Customer Ma Houmes and his father, Bryan farm 700 acres of alfalfa hay both conven‐onally and organically near Veedersburg, IN which is in the west central part of the state. They produce 3’ X 4’ big square bales usually between 20% and 50% moisture depending on their target market. They stand behind their bales so problems like moldy, dusty and faded bales must be prevented.
The Houmes’ have used preservaves for over 15 years, starng with the market leader. They had prey good success with that product, however they began looking for a product that could do as good of a job, but at a much more palatable price. Eventually, their search found Silo Maxx Special. They have now used Silo Maxx Special for about 3 years and have very lile hay that had to be replaced to the farmer and they are treang at less than half the cost! Silo Maxx has stood out over the rest in the parcularly difficult task of preserving large square bales at modest moistures.
