THEMED HOUSINGSIGMA SIGMA SIGMA SORORITY

As part of the development of a larger residential life complex, Fort Hays State University will be

building a three-story facility with four separate units or houses, dedicated to FHSU “themed”

groups at the north end of Lewis Field.

The house will be staffed by one Graduate Assistant in the Higher Education Student Affairs program

and will be accessible to all students within the facility. Each house will also designate one of its

members to serve as the house manager or resident assistant for their house. This student will work

with the Graduate Assistant and receive a stipend from the university.

The facility is divided into four private, three-story houses, each with ten double rooms, four single

bedrooms and six bathrooms. Each house also has its own dedicated front door, private staircase, and

interior door to a shared space with additional stairs, elevator, multi-purpose room, laundry room and

access to the Graduate Assistant’s room.

Opportunities are available for individuals and businesses to partner with Fort Hays State University

in building and equipping this unique house in support of our students.

“This facility will provide a unique environment where students can interact with one another, allowing their organizations to thrive.”
