Second Step is designed to improve behavior

and reduce classroom disruptions.

It’s based on a foundation of empathy as the motivator for resolving conflict and managing anger.

The program is school-wide in all classrooms within the school setting, grades k-8th.

Participants in this program urban and suburban areas, Caucasians and African Americans, Hispanics and Vietnamese.

Students, parents, teachers, parents, guidance counselors, and administrators

The main stakeholders in the program are school districts, community agencies, and parents.
