New Chartered Z/Golden Z Clubs in Order: Lincoln M. Alexander S. S., Fletcher’s Meadow S. S., Sandalwood Heights S. S. and Guelph-Humber University/Humber College North Golden Z Club
Report from the North Park Z Club:
Z/Golden Club Mini-Conference
North Park Z-Club organized the Zonta Club Mini-Conference. At this conference, many members of the local
Brampton-Caledon, Mississauga and Toronto Zonta Clubs and Z-clubs from other schools visited our school to talk about
their journey as members of Zonta and explained how the next generation can become part of this amazing journey as
well. During this conference, we chartered Z-clubs from four different schools by going through the rituals and ceremony
that Zonta International follows. The following Z/Golden Clubs were chartered: Guelph-Humber College, Sandalwood
Heights Secondary School, Lincoln M. Alexander Secondary School and Fletcher's Meadow Secondary School.
Mme. Pebesma and North Park executive members took control of the planning. The Z-club members all
participated before, during and after the event. We all pulled together. While organizing this event, we managed all aspects
of the event. Mme. Pebesma arranged the ordering of the dinner and the executive members were assigned jobs. The
executive members organized the decorations, set-up, registration, and the presentation from North Park. We organized so
that we stayed under the budget that was provided to our school by the Zonta Club of Brampton-Caledon. At the end of the
event, all the members helped everyone to clean the area where the conference was held and in the kitchen. We all learned
about the advantages of working together and the importance of the work that Zonta International does. Both will
definitely be used in the Club’s future.
Overall, the March 10th Conference was a great event to plan and be a part of. North Park Z-club will be
planning more events in the coming months to continue our journey together.
