Are we making Yawehjealous? (1st

Corinthians 10:1-22)

*The first red flag that should alert us to the date of Dec 25th is the historical evidence that indicates who celebrated their birthday on this day way before Yeshua(Jesus).

Tada! This is just a short list,

unfortunately our Messiah-Yeshua isn’t

here.

*Tammuz (illegitimate great-great grandson of

Noah)

*Horus (c. 3000 BCE)*Attis of Phrygia *Mithra of Persia*Adonis *Bacchus*Hermes (Cush-

grandson of Noah)*Nimrod (Great

grandson of Noah)*Osiris

*Zoroaster *Dionysus

It wasn’t until the 4th

century that Christmas as we

know it started to gain momentum. This is when Jesus

was thrown in.

It is of high importance to

understand who these characters are, as what we call today paganism is a direct line to these ancient entities that Yawehinstructs us to stay

away from! Jeremiah 44:3 (I will be doing a

paganism study in the near future)

Someone got hijacked! Yikes…

• Now we are going to take a look at what some important people/references in the past have to say about Christmas.

• Christian historian Tertullian (160-220 AD) says: “By us who are strangers to Sabbaths, and new moons, and festivals, once acceptable to God, the Saturnalia, the feasts of January, the Brumalia and Matronalia, are now frequented. Gifts are carried to and fro, news years day presents are made with din, and sports and banquets are celebrated with uproar. Oh, how much more faithful are the heathen to their religion, who take special care to adopt no solemnity from the Christians.” p. 93. (We can see the consequences of leaving behind Abba’s feasts and inserting our own.) Amos 5:21-27

• The New Catholic Encyclopedia states: "Christmas originated at a time when the cult of the sun was particularly strong at Rome. This theory finds support in some of the Church Fathers contrasting the birth of Christ and the winter solstice. Though the substitution of Christmas for the pagan festival cannot be proved with certainty, it remains the most plausible explanation for the dating of Christmas" (1967, Vol. 3, p. 656).

How long will we continue to weave in the holy with the

unholy? When will the church leaders put a stop to it?

• Man, Myth & Magic explains when Christmas gained official recognition and when the name was substituted for the ancient heathen midwinter festival."Once given a Christian basis the festival became fully established in Europe with many of its pagan elements undisturbed. It was only in the 4th century that 25 December was officially decreed to be the birthday of Christ, and it was another 500 years [the ninth century] before the term Midwinter Feast was abandoned in favor of the word Christmas" (Cavendish, p. 480).

• James Hastings, Bible scholar, writer and editor of The Encyclopedia of Religion and Ethics, confirms that the church absorbed and tolerated heathen customs: "Most of the Christmas customs now prevailing in Europe, or recorded from former times, are not genuine Christian customs, but heathen customs which have been absorbed or tolerated by the Church" (1910, Vol. 3, p. 608). Syncretism is killing us spiritually (Isaiah 44:14-20)

Ancient Customs

near or on X-Mas

• Saturnalia: Roman winter festival filled with feasting, drinking, singing in the street naked, clapping hands, gambling in public and making noise.

• Slaves and masters would reverse roles during a 5 to 7 day feast. Slaves would wear a cap of freedom and masters would serve their slaves.

• Originally started on Dec 17th thru the 23rd and did vary depending upon who was ruling.

• Saturn (Nimrod) was given homage during this time and sacrifices were made to him. His image usually a life size statue of him would be in attendance. A feast would be given daily as a reminder of an earlier Golden Age, which according to Saturn “all things that are serious are barred”. Celebrants would shout Io, Saturnalia (our merry x-mas today).

Is Paganism now acceptable to

Yaweh?(Malachi 3:6)

• The priest of Saturn would declare that “During my week the serious is barred; no business allowed. Drinking, noise and games and dice, appointing of kings and feasting of slaves, singing naked, clapping of frenzied hands, an occasional ducking of corked faces in icy water-such are the functions over which I preside.”

• In Rome on Dec 25th was the day of Natalis InvictiSolis “the birthday of the unconquered sun” (Nimrod/Tammuz historians agree that either one was paid homage to depending on the geographic area)

• The date for Christmas may also bear a relation to the sun worship. According to the scholiast on the Syriac bishop Jacob Bar-Salibi, writing in the twelfth century: "It was a custom of the Pagans to celebrate on the same 25 December the birthday of the Sun, at which they kindled lights in token of festivity. In these solemnities and revelries the Christians also took part. Accordingly when the doctors of the Church perceived that the Christians had a leaning to this festival, they took counsel and resolved that the true Nativity should be solemnised on that day." (cited in "Christianity and Paganism in the Fourth to Eighth Centuries", Ramsay MacMullen. Yale:1997, p155)

Other Cultures and their relation to

x-mas

• In Egypt the birthday of Horus was celebrated on Dec 25th.

• The Chaldeans had Yule day which in that language literally means “little child”.

• The Pagan Anglo-Saxon day of Dec 25th was called Yule day and the previous night was “mother night”.

• The Sabeans of Arabia who were worshippers of the moon celebrated the birthday of the lord-that is the moon, on Dec 24th.

• But if you really want the origin of this entire festival it originated in Babylon with the “drunken festival”. Once more if you follow the pagan money line, starting in Babylon would be the origin of all this chaos (Cush).

• Isaiah 65:8-12 “But as for you who forsake the Lord and forget my holy mountain, who spread a table for Fortune (Cush) and fill bowls of mixed wine for Destiny (Nimrod) I will destine you for the sword,

• God is seriously warning us that we are NOT to be partakers with these ancient men who proclaimed themselves to be gods on earth. (2nd Corinthians 6:14-18)

And now the tree! • It has always been in the heart of man to direct themselves into a path of destruction. Usually it starts with paganism then as you bind up curses upon yourself and your family then the ball really gets rolling and man moves away from The Word of Yaweh and creates their own traditions and customs which fly into the face of what Yawehhas intended for us.

• Let us take a look at (Deuteronomy 12:2–4) and see what God has told us concerning other gods.

• “These are the statutes and judgments which you shall be careful to observe in the land which the Lord God of your fathers is giving you to possess, all the days that you live on the earth. You shall utterly destroy all the places where the nations which you shall dispossess served their gods, on the high mountains and on the hills and under every green tree. And you shall destroytheir altars, break their sacred pillars, and burn their wooden images with fire; you shall cut down the carved images of their gods and destroy their names from that place. You shall not worship the Lord your God with such things”.

Some things just don’t change

• They were instructed to get rid of pagan places of worship: mountains, hills and “under every green tree.” Interestingly the Bible uses this term in ten places. Each instance it is in reference to pagan rites, rituals and perverted acts of pagan worship in which the Israelites were practicing! (cf., 1 Kings 14:23; 2 Kings 16:4; 17:10; 2 Chronicles 28:4; Isaiah 57:5; Jeremiah 2:20; 3:6; 3:13; Ezekiel 6:13.)

• To this date I still cannot find ANY references to Yaweh asking us to bring trees into the house to be decorated and partake in the ancient pagan ritual of Nimrods phallic symbol!

• Now let’s take a look at the actual ritual that was practiced which morphed into what we now call the x-mas tree.

What shall we do?• Taking a closer look at

Dueteronomy 12:2-4 we can see what Yah directs us to do as believers.

• We are to UTTERLY DESTROY, BREAK, BURN, CUT DOWN, DESTROY THEIR NAMES, SHALL NOT WORSHIP! I would find it hard for anyone to think these are some calm words from our Creator.

• Instead of doing these things the majority of believers of Christ do the opposite. We set up (bring the tree in), fix up (making sure it looks great), light up (with lights), create (new festivals which God did not sanction), keep ancient names of His enemies close to us, and finally bow down to them (when you kneel to pick up a present or pick up one).

See anysimilarities?

• The man-god Attis, after an unsuccessful courtship of the goddess Cybele, mutilated himself, “under a pine-tree, and bled to death on the spot. ... After his death Attis is said to have been changed into a pine-tree … [in worship practices] a pine-tree was cut in the woods and brought into the sanctuary of Cybele, where it was treated as a great divinity … Stirred by the wild barbaric music of clashing cymbals, rumbling drums, droning horns, and screaming flutes, the inferior clergy whirled about in the dance with waggling heads and streaming hair, until, rapt into a frenzy of excitement and insensible to pain, they gashed their bodies with potsherds or slashed them (hints of Muslim practices) with knives in order to bespatter the altar and the sacred tree with their flowing blood.” (The Golden Bough, Sir James George Frazer, “The Myth and Ritual of Attis” Chapter 34.

• Attis’ bloody act under an evergreen tree, along with—as the historical record points out—subsequent duplications by Attis worshippers, has provided paganism with its seasonal red and green motifs.

And now the Babylon connection

• Now we turn our attention to Ancient Babylon where most if not ALL our pagan traditions stem from. The key character who came up with the tree was none other than Semiramis, mother and wife of Nimrod, mother and wife of Tammuz and previous wife of Cush! Certainly a dysfunctional family. The story goes as follows and changes just a little bit depending on what geographic area you are in.

• Nimrod was murdered and his body cut and spread across the land....• "Semiramis, took command of the religion (Nimrod proclaimed everyone in the land to

worship him) and proclaimed Nimrod a god. She collected all of Nimrod's body parts except for his private part, which she could not find, and created the symbol of the obelisk (you cannot escape just look at our nations capitol or the Vatican) and established phallus worship. This mother-wife also claimed that an evergreen tree sprang forth from a dead tree stump, which symbolised springing forth into new life of the dead Nimrod. Semiramis further claimed that every year on the anniversary of Nimrod's birth, said to be on December 25th, he would visit the evergreen tree and leave gifts upon it. This tradition is the real origin of the Christmas tree. Semiramis was an adroit schemer who shifted herself into prominence in the religion founded by Nimrod. Through her scheming she became the Babylonian "Queen of Heaven“ (Jer44:19) whilst Nimrod, under various names, became the "divine son of heaven." Nimrod was later refashioned as a messiah figure, son of Baal the Sun-god, thereby creating the archetypal motifs: the World Redeemer and the "Mother and Child.""

We are all in this together! Ughhhh…

• So the Christmas tree is just another formof the obelisk (Jer 43:13) that we see EVERYWHERE. For example this picture on the right was taken at the Vatican. You would think with all this history behind both symbols that it would be the last place for them to put such objects, but lo and behold they adorn it as well. Providing the people with a perfect example of pagan worship right in the so-called center of a Holy place.

• I have heard with my own ears Christian pastors making fun of Catholics for involving themselves in pagan worship (the worship of Mary), then they turn around and bring trees into their congregations! What a load of rat poop! Talk about the pot calling the kettle black.

• As far as the response of “God knows my heart.” I would say to that “He certainly does know your heart especially when you know the truth”.

And now a public REBUKE for our dear spiritual leaders,

pastors, and priests. Of course all done in love! Proverbs 28:14

• Where are the Elijah’s of our time? (1st

Kings 18:21) When are you going to NOT (Romans 12:1-2) conform to the patterns of this world and lead your congregations to El Shaddai.

• YAWEH’S people are suffering because of your lack of leadership, courage, knowledge and Godly convictions. 2nd

Chronicles 36:11-14 let us take a look at some of the highlights of this situation.

• #1 Zedekiah did evil in the eyes of God…ask yourself did you know that x-mas was pagan to begin with? Perhaps you think paganism is a trivial matter now that we are in the Renewed Covenant? Paul and the apostles are clear on this issue. Read all of 1st Corinthians 10 as proof.

• #2 it goes on and says…”and did not humble himself before Jeremiah the prophet, who spoke the word of El Shaddai.” Now I already know what you are thinking, and NO I am NOT proclaiming to be a prophet or apostle or anything besides a Berean who checks scripture to check if our traditions and customs go against our heavenly Father.

Still got excuses?

• #3 “he became stiff-necked and hardened his heart and would not turn to YAWEH, the God of Israel”. So what is it brother or sister, are you so enamored with your traditions that Nimrod has blinded you to the truth/emet of God’s word? Most leaders realize we are nearing the end days and you will be caught red handed allowing the ancient practice of giving homage to Nimrod, Samiramis and Tammuz within your congregation? But hey “God knows my heart.” Good luck with that, let me know how that goes…

• #4 and now the kicker…”Furthermore, all the leaders of the priests and the people became more and more unfaithful, following all the detestable practices of the nations and defiling the temple of YAH, which He had consecrated in Jerusalem.” Sound familiar? It should because paganism directly sets curses over the people, look at the churches and what state they are in, abortion (just another form of child sacrifice to Molech/Nimrod) rampant in the pews, sexual perversion everywhere especially in the leadership, lack of simple knowledge of who Jesus is and what he has called us to do. Complete lawlessness and the disregard for the Ten Commandments (by the way in case you haven’t spiritually discerned this entire lesson is based on the 1st

commandment). Lack of prayer and getting into His word, and it goes on and on. You know better than I what is becoming of “the church”. We certainly make the Corinthian church look healthy.

Is it really worth it?• I call on you my dear brother or

sister to lead God’s people OUT of Babylon and into Messiah Yeshua. Repent and ask YAWEH and your congregations for forgiveness (Amos 4). Just as you ask others to publicly confess Christ as their savior so I would challenge you to confess that you have been lied to and have not been diligent on seeking the truth concerning this ancient practice of Nimrod.

• Pray about this message and take it as a harsh or soft rebuke, whichever works for you. But, if you have already hardened your heart or think I am lying then please continue on your way of doing things YOUR own way. (Rev 9:20-21)

• I hear pastors talk about revival and how we need one, well my dear friends how can there be revival when we can’t even get past the very 1st commandment our Savior pointed us to do! (Matt 22:37-38)

The final Conclusion!• Now I speak to the average person who

follows God and ask you sincerely to judge for yourselves what is truth/emetand what is falsehood. No matter what your leader teaches you, you will be solely responsible for clinging to the truth (1st Peter 1:22-25)

• Most people in church that I have this discussion with are very quick to say “Yes I know Christmas is pagan”. So my question is, if this is commonly known then WHY are we even messing around with it? (Psalms 16:1-4)

• Abortion is pagan, sexual perversion is pagan, non-prayer life is pagan, not reading the Bible is pagan-yet when it comes to X-mas we just give it a pass because of our feelings. Well my fellow believers it isn’t that way. Continuing in ancient rituals which lift up the name of Jesus in place of Nimrod just doesn’t cut it. Try looking at a great example of inserting your truth for God’s truth. (Lev 10:1-3)

Final Notes/Resources• Here are some extra Biblical passages that really point out the effects of paganism

on the people: Jeremiah 44, 2nd Chronicles 7:11-22 focus on vs 19-20 and 22, Hosea 4:1-14, Zephaniah 1:1-9 focus on vs 4-6
