Parenting is a challenging task and parenting in modern times is more complex than ever before. Modern life poses seemingly impossible challenges to new parents who, caught between lifestyle choices and endless options for baby products, feel constantly under stress while making everyday choices for their babies. The Wunders Company exists to provide simple, logical answers to the most important parenting questions.

Wunders is an obvious take on the word wonder and we have chosen it for the various connotations that wonder has in the English language. All the synonyms of wonder reflect how a child feels when faced with a new experience. In a childs early development years every activity can be considered an experience (think of eating something for the first time, successfully going to the potty, falling asleep with a favorite toy, waking up at the sound of a beautiful lullaby, etc.) and The Wunders Company wants to be a part of this wonderment that is so essential in the development of any child.

There is another, essential consideration in the logic of Wunders: parents, and new parents in particular, always wonder how to solve a problem: How do I teach my baby to fall and stay asleep? How do I train my toddler to use a potty instead of a diaper? How do I safely bathe my baby? Etc.

For the parents we will provide the answers to those questions, with a promise of simplicity and safety. Removing complexity and helping to ritualize moments small and large to enhance time spent with little ones.

Peaceful Nights - Happy Days

Every living creature needs to sleep, and sleep is the primary activity of the brain during early development. Sleep-wake cycles are regulated by light and dark and these rhythms are not developed at birth, resulting in the irregular sleep schedules of newborns. The rhythms begin to develop at about six weeks, and by three to six months of age most infants will have developed a

regular sleep-wake cycle.By the age of two, most children have spent more time asleep than awake, and overall a child will spend 40 percent of his or her childhood asleep. Sleep is especially important for children as it

Slumber Wunders is the first brand in the world that allows a toddler to take a sleep trainer into bed since we now also offer a sleep trainer made of the softest plush material. All the same functionality of Momo but with the added play and comfort value of a super soft body that can be taken into bed. Gordon the Gorilla and Tommy the Teddy Bear feature a unique wake-up song that has been exclusively produced and recorded for The Wunders Company by female singer and song writer Myrthe van de Weetering.

At wake-up time, the child will feel sung and spoken to by a loving and caring mom. Gordon and Tommy are interactive as they playfully show the child if its ok to play or if its still sleepy time: when their eyes are closed and their foot is tickled, they gently snore. When their eyes are open and their foot is tickled they gently giggle. The night light function provides comfort and guidance at night if needed. The nightlight has an auto shut-off function as well or can be turned off manually.

Toddlers and young children are notorious for waking up in the middle of the night and for being early risers. The parents themselves are getting exhausted but moreover they are worried that their little ones are not getting enough shut-eye. Our Sleep trainer aids children with such sleeping problems by showing in an intuitive way when they are allowed to get out of bed or still need to catch some sleep.

How does it work: At bedtime, tell your child that Momo is closing his eyes to go to sleep with them. Push the Night Light Button for 5 seconds until Momos eyes close. Then explain that only when Momo opens his eyes it is ok to get up out of bed. At the wake-up time set by you, Momos eyes will open and the optional peaceful jungle alarm sound will play: Eyes closed You should be sleeping, Eyes open Rise and Shine. Our Sleep Trainer also displays a digital as well as an analogue clock to teach children how to read time both ways. The volume of the alarm can be switched off completely, either for the younger children who do not necessarily have to get up or to allow a late sleep-in on the weekend, but still preventing an early rise.
