Meet-N-Eat - Monday, April 29th at 7:00 pm at IHOP. TwoGreen Thumbs Garden Club Meeting - Monday, April 29th at 7:00 pm. Properties Committee Meeting - Thursday, May 2nd at 7:00 pm in the Conference Room. Philathea Sunday School Class - Thursday, May 9th at 10:00 am in the Conference Room. Graduation Sunday is scheduled for June 2nd. Please contact the church office if you will be graduating from High School or College so we will know to include you in the scheduled program. Baby Dedication - Please contact the church office if you would like to have your baby dedicated. We will be planning a date (TBA) in August.
The “Backpack Buddies” program is an ongoing ministry KBC has with Knightdale Elementary School. Plastic bags, used to distribute the food, are not needed at this time, but there is an urgent need for food items.
2013 Spaghetti Lunch and Auction Needs - It's that time!! What can you donate for the 2013 Auction? We are looking for vacation rentals, pottery, plants/trees, jewelry, wreaths, artwork and of course your delicious eatables. We are also looking for those gift baskets made by Sunday School classes and other groups as well. For vacation rentals contact Margaret Humphries at [email protected] or 919-266-9485. For eatables contact Mrs. “Pete” at 919-266-2830. For all other items contact Jim Farrington at [email protected] or 919-266-7690. KBC Brochures are available in the church office if you would like a few to distribute to your friends and neighbors. The KBC Children’s Choir will sing in worship Sunday, May 12th (Mother’s Day)! Please make sure your child(ren) attend each rehearsal Wednesdays at 6:30 pm. Thank you! National Day of Prayer - On Thursday, May 2nd, Christians from across the Raleigh area will come together at noon at Halifax Mall, north of the Legislature Building in downtown Raleigh for the 62nd observance of the National Day of Prayer. There will be worship music 15 minutes prior to the prayer gathering at Halifax Mall, which will begin at Noon. Governor McCrory’s day-of-prayer proclamation will be read. Raleigh-area pastors, state civic leaders and community prayer leaders will lead in various prayers for the Church, our city, state and nation. Participants are invited to bring umbrellas for sun, and lawn chairs or blankets for seating for this event. The rain location will be Edenton Street UMC.

Please note: If for some reason you are not available to help on the day that you volunteered to work, we ask that you please don’t forget to find a replacement for yourself so there is adequate coverage during the worship service. Also, if you have a change in the schedule for the children’s nursery or children’s church, please contact the monthly coordinator so that the change can be made prior to the printing of the worship bulletin. However, any permanent changes in the schedule should continue to be handled by the lead coordinator.

Attention KBC Parents: If you have a child participating in children’s worship, please make sure they are picked up at the end of the church service by a parent or adult. The children’s worship leaders will only allow children to be picked up by a parent or adult from the nursery, toddler, 2-3 year old, 4-5 year old, or 6-7 year old classrooms. We love our children at KBC and want to ensure their safety!
