In its third year and following the great success of the 2015 edition, Salon du Chocolat, the world’s largest event dedicated to chocolate, opened its doors to the public at Beirut’s BIEL exhibition center, with gourmet workshops and demonstrations.

More than 30 pastry chefs and over 60 exhibitors gathered in celebration of chocolate. Professional chocolate tasters, sweet specialists, well-known chocolate brands, chocolatiers, chocolate enthusiasts, authors and pastry chefs showcased their expertise in the use of chocolate.

Visitors had the opportunity to enjoy live presentations and left the exhibition with bags full of scrumptious treats bought from the show and many other promotional goodies.

The exhibition also featured the renowned chocolate “Fashion Show,” which this year took place under a 1950s theme. In addition, attendees were able to witness live sessions at the Choco Démo and kids enjoyed activities at Chocoland.

Visitors were able to drop by for tastings and observe workshops conducted by more than 30 famous pastry chefs and chocolatiers. They revealed their top recipes, including chocolate truffles, chocolate cookies, chocolate éclairs and much more.

This year’s renowned chocolate “Fashion Show” took place under the theme “Back to the 50s.” A total of 15 celebrated pastry chefs and Lebanese designers created a series of intricate gowns made of chocolate, which were showcased on the runway during two special catwalk shows. Special guests Rami Kadi and Chef Charles Azar partnered-up on a showstopper made with no less than 8,000 chocolate flowers.
