If you’re planning to remodel or purchase a new home, consider a unique pattern for laying floor and wall tile/panels.

Go against the grain (so-to-say) and get creative with octagonal tile in bathrooms, a Herringbone design in the hall (cover photo) and introduce bullnose/trim pieces to separate various types of tile or to create separation between different materials.

2015 Farmer’s Market

We’ve been speaking with many local HVOTP resident who had no idea Milton has a weekly farmer’s market! While we were quite surprised, we realized that there were likely other people in the area that were also unaware.

As the kids go back to school and cooler weather creeps in, the end of the 2015 Farmer’s Market nears.

Saturday, October 10th is the last day for this years’ market, leaving you just a few opportunities to get out for a Saturday morning stroll down Main Street to socialize and pick up some excellent local fair.

The market is full of fresh local produce, prepared meats, treats and sweets. From chicken pot pie to fresh honey, your taste buds will be watering.

The event takes place on Main Street from 7AM until 12PM every Saturday and has over 40 venders to visit.

Be sure to stop by some of the local stores who often open their doors early to accommodate Market visitors. You can also grab the famous bacon on a bun and a coffee to support The Scholarship Fund put on by the Chamber of Commerce.

See you there!

#TrendingNowHardwood and Tile Peering eyes will be snooping through cupboards, appliances

and, yes, the most private of areas, your closet. This goes for everything from linen to the master bedroom.

A cluttered (and overflowing) closet subconsciously suggests there is a lack of storage in your home and makes these areas in particular look much smaller than they are.

The best place to start is to ensure there is nothing on the floor. A covered floor draws your eyes down; let’s get people focusing on the overall space by clearing the floor and bringing their eyes back up -- yes that includes removing laundry bins, baskets and your smelly socks.

Now that we have their attention, make sure your upper rack(s) is organized. Take all of your folded sweaters, scarves and jeans and pack them away or place in matching, decorative baskets.

Last but certainly not least, consider removing some hangers/clothes from the rack if you have an excessive amount.

Once you’ve covered these three points you’ll be well on your way to a clutter free and photo worthy closet!
