At the moment we have completed the first 5 objectives on schedule and weve learnt a lot on the journey weve taken.
Objectives 6,7 and 8 are in progress
Objective 8 really runs through all of our activities as being a vital element of information literacy in the digital age.
Targets 2012/13Two pilots embedding IL framework in schoolsIdentify IL Champions in each local authority library serviceSupport IL training of public library staff in 5 authoritiesSupport the delivery of Agored IL units to public library users in two authorities
Which brings us back to the range of benefits which are supported by information literacy. 5School s and WILPVisited school and met with head-teachers, teachers and school librariansAttended school library service meetingsAttended head teacher meetings Resulted in gaining two case studies/pilots and raising awareness about the WILP project in schools
