(or until you sell out) for the 2019 Holiday Bazaar. Facilities will have the tables set up by 9:00, so those dropping off food, etc., and those using tables can start between 9:00 and 10:00. Reminders for those with tables: Cash: Every table and every individual handle money and are responsible for obtaining change beforehand. Cashless customers can write checks to the “Collington Residents Association” if the entire purchase price is going to the RA. Remember to retain the amount of change with which you started. Supplies: In addition to change, I suggest you bring a box for cash, paper, pen, bags (if you have/need them), a calculator, stickers for prices if your items are not already priced, lunch (if you don’t have someone to spell you) and water. Help: If you have a table, get volunteers to help, if possible. The bazaar closes at 2:00 or when everything is sold, whichever comes first. Some tables will probably sell out sooner than others. (Food goes fast.) Proceeds: I can collect the money and checks at the bazaar. If you like, you may retain the cost of materials for yourself or your committee. And, don’t forget to retain the amount of change with which you started. Count your proceeds, mark the amount on the supplied envelope, and give the envelope, with the proceeds inside, to me. Attendees also met with Principal Dunn of Cora L. Rice elementary and outreach committee members outside of The Landing to learn about foundation funded/resident-driven projects and programs for local children and families.

The Foundation extends its sincere appreciation to all those residents, team members and board members that made this event fun and memorable! Special thanks to the culinary team for creating delicious themed hors o’doeuvres and beverages for each station, to the facilities team for timely set-up and breakdown, and to the RA Flower Committee for the beautiful arrangements.

YOO! HOO!

Looking for a Dining Chair or PLAN B

As many of you probably know, we do not have a chair of the Dining Operating Committee. Until someone steps for-ward we will move ahead with Plan B -

In conjunction with Chris Ramsey and Eloise Scott (our pre-vious Dining Chair) we have come up with the following procedures:

All residents who have comments about the food or service in the Dining Room or Landing are asked to fill out com-ment cards. These will be evaluated by a resident and pre-sented to Chris. Based on the number received Chris will then schedule Culinary Chats for all residents.

If there are more serious or operational issues on your mind, please come discuss it with one of the RA officers. As an Executive Committee we will then decide on any ac-tion required.

A working group will still be utilized for menu review and any other projects that may be brought forth to the resi-dents.

Be well, be happy. Lois Brown, RA President
