Happy Mother’s DayHappy Mother’s Day to all of our readers

who enjoy the opportunity of holding themost precious title of all, “mother.”

Hats off to the mothers of tiny babies whokeep them up all night! For the motherswhose toddlers have them on the go frommorning ‘til night! For the mothers whoselives are ruled by the carpool schedule! Forthe mothers who make it to every game, toevery show and to every open house! For themothers who worry endlessly about SATscores and college admissions! For the motherswho, somehow, juggle kids and careers, and forthose moms who have more than a fulltime job athome with their little ones! For the “empty nest”mothers of college students and for the really“empty nest” mothers whose grown childrenhave moved on and out! For the mothers whonow have that very special gift of grandchildren!I pay tribute to you with this issue.

I found a website that calculates the monetaryvalue of work that moms do. It is MomSalary-Wizard.com. The salary amounts are based onhow many children you have and where youlive. According to this website, the work that astay-at-home mom with two kids would warranta salary of $125,840 a year.

My sister posted on facebook that I’d like toshare called “A Promise to my Children”

“As long as I live, I am your parent first - yourfriend second. There are times when I will stalkyou, flip out on you, lecture you, drive youinsane, be your worst nightmare and hunt youdown like a bloodhound when needed because ILOVE YOU...You will never find someone wholoves, prays, cares and worries about you morethan I do. If you don’t hate me at least once inyour life, then I’m not doing my job properly.

Yep...sounds like my Mom. So remember totake your Mom out for Mother’s day to one ofthe many places to go, things to do, and places tosee suggested in this issue. Enjoy!
