FROM THE MANAGER’S DESK

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY TO ALL!

The Sales Office will be closed on Monday, May 29th in observance of Memorial Day.

Well, we made it through the rainy month of April! As I drive through the neighborhood, I notice how beautiful this Community truly is. All the homes and yards are alive this SPRING with a new, fresh look. Thankfully, it appears that winter passed us by unscathed. The sun-shine feels good; Everyone is enjoying their yard work. Thank you all for caring and sharing your talents and friendships. Just by looking around, you can feel the love and wonderful peo-ple that live in Gypsum Mills Estates. Everyone should be proud to be a part of this great Community. We have had many new faces to welcome this year and we will miss all those that have moved on.

Save the date: Our annual home show will be held May 18 and 19 from 11:00 AM-4:00 PM. We have reserved the Community Center for our event. All Home Owners that are selling on their own and Realtors that are selling in here are welcome to hold open houses as well. The more the merrier! Volunteers are still needed to work with us on this special day. Call Jessica at the Sales Office 924-4710 if you are interested. It will be fun I guarantee it!

Sticky Lips BBQ is holding a Fund Raiser at Winding Creek Golf Course on May 18th. All Gypsum Mills Residents are invited to purchase a dinner plate for $12.00 before the event. Call Steve Lepiane (585) 703-6341 for tickets.

Still some confusion about Solicitors: Political Parties and Religious Groups are not consid-ered solicitors, as it is their right as per the Law. It was voted in by the Gypsum Mills Residents at a Board Meeting that they will allow Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, and Victor Central School related organizations to solicit on the Gypsum Mills premises.

Calling 911 is not a crime, you are doing your duty as a concerned Resident. Here are a few of the complaints I have received.

Call 911 if you see:

► A suspicious person

► See someone going through rubbish the night before pick up

► Children playing by the ponds

► Children playing in the road

► Someone speeding through the Community

► Children are driving Golf Carts under the age of 18 yrs.

► Someone driving erratically (they could be having a heart attack or it could be their

medication)

► Pets not on a leash (this is a State Law in NY).

*Do not be afraid to call 911 ~ you may have just saved a life! It is a CRIME to ignore the situation. *

By the time you wait for me to open the Office it will be to late. Following up with me the next the day is necessary with a Police report. Thank you.

Save the date: Garage Sale June 15th.

Very Truly Yours, Debra DeMars Community Manager

Please plan to join us on either Wednes-day, May 15th at 1:00pm or on Thursday, May 16th at 7:00pm as Ontario County Office for the Aging staff present a FREE program designed to help you navigate the ever changing and confusing system that is “Health Care.”

This program has been created with sen-iors and their caregivers in mind! If you’ve ever thought that the Office for the Aging is only for the frail, poor, and eld-erly of our county, you need to save these dates and prepare to have your eyes opened in regard to the vast amount of assistance, information and personal support our county has to offer its residents.

Presented by: Terri M. Haley; Coordina-tor of Services & Tarah Shedenhelm; Specialist, Aging Services.

YOU DON’T WANT TO MISS THIS ONE!!
