For the first time in the history of the of the Army’s premiere training post, the National Training Center, civilians are getting a rare glimpse into how Soldiers prepare for combat in the War on Terror in Iraq and Afghanistan. The new initiative is called, “NTC Tours.” For more information or to book a tour, please call (760) 220-6626. FREE Tax Preparations! The Fort Irwin Tax Center will start preparing your taxes for free starting January 24 th . See the Attached flyer for dates and times or call (760) 380- 5321. Community Reminders *Pet Potty: Please be sure to pick up after your pets. There is a green receptacle along with disposable bags to help aid in the dispensing of your pets “potty”. *Household garbage/recycling receptacles: Your garbage/recycling receptacles need to be taken off the street once they have been emptied *Bulk Garbage pick-up can be arranged by calling (760) 386-9440 (boxes, old appliances, etc- anything that does not fit into your garbage can) *Please report any vandalism to the Military Police and notify your Mayor *Looking for Employment? Fort Irwin Employment Readiness Program can assist you. Please contact Silvia Moreno @ (760) 380-5165 or [email protected] *If you are having a PEST issue (bugs/spiders, etc), please do not hesitate to call in a work order. A pest control person will spray inside, outside of your home and in the garage. You can do this monthly as a preventive measure as well. Please call (888) 419-6499 to schedule a work order *It is recommended that your air filter is changed once a month. You can place a work order or pick up a filter at self help on a one-for-one exchange basis. January Pet Lovers Sgt. Fuzzbuddy's offers Doggy Day-Camp (aka Day Care) for your pup! Let your pup get a bark and run workout while you're at work or away for the day. The cost is only $10 per day. For more Doggy Day Care information call 380-PETS (7387)
