    The flag of the USA

    The flag of the United States of America consists of13 equal horizon

    tal stripes ofred alternating with white,with a blue rectangle and 50 small, white, five-pointedstars. The 50 stars on the flag represent the 50 U.S.states and the 13 stripes represent the original ThirteenColonies that rebelled against the British crown andbecame the first states in the Union.

    Nicknames for the flag include "the Stars and Stripes","Old Glory" etc.

    The colors also have some meanings in the flag. Thecolorred is symbol ofcourage , enthusiasm, blood andlife.

    Then the colorblue represents the sky and symbolizesthe respect forGod .
